I'm struggling to get the basher to work. When I hit the key (F2 in the case), nothing happens. I know I'm missing something simple but hell if I can find it. Thanks in advance for the help.

Do you have an alias to set the "target" variable?

There is no real basher, there is just a key that has an example call to the mm queuing to kick a target repeatedly. 

The first thing you should do is make sure you have a variable named 'target' set to the thing you wanna hit. I bet that's the issue, but if it's not, continue on. 

If you're not trying to kick repeatedly, you may:
-Have your function keys toggled off (on your computer in general)

-Have something going wrong with the queue, in which case you should 

-Open the keys dialog, and open the errors panel with the errors button, then hit the key and see if anything new errors crop up.  Not having a target set will throw a nil error. 

-Make sure your m&m queue isn't gummed up or turned off. Check MMSHOW DO and see if there is anything listed.

How do you do a FRESH install of MMFree?  I've tried uninstalling the package and deleting the folder, including the M&M folder inside the .config folder, but there still seems to be other files elsewhere that it is drawing pre-existing configurations from an obsolete version of M&M on my computer, causing the update to screw up and leaving me completely without a reflex system.

I've looked through pretty much all documentation I can find and can not find ANY kind of list showing where any residual files are stored.

EDIT: For reference, these are the following files/folders I have in the profile folder

Installing the package through Package Manager works fine, but when I use the mminstall command, it spams the screen with 

(m&mf): auto-configuration done. question time!

When I'm on fire or burnt, M&MF keeps trying to just apply ice in general, rather than liniment or to a specific body part. Any fix for this?

How do you get M&Mf to stop sipping fire potion repeatedly when it thinks your fire potion was stripped?

@Eicia - do this in the command line (lua mm.conf.arena = false) - this will fix it. Anytime you go into the arena (and cure) you'll have to do it again upon exiting. This will be fixed in next release.

@Demartel - check defs. If fire is up, should stop sipping it.

I only heard about this a few days ago from Falmiis and to be honest, I haven't even tried figuring out why it's doing that. I'll try to get to it at some point.

Is raw-mm.defs.lua supposed to be missing the fire def? I can see the frost def in it.

No it's not supposed to be missing, but took a quick look and it's there - (line 2474 and 352)

Did the line change at some point? When I sip fire now I get "A feeling of comfortable warmth spreads over you." which isn't in the file.

Im having a bit of trouble understanding the instructions.

I've followed them step by step, step 4 is complete then i get to step five and then I have no idea what its talking about.

5. Replace <m&mf Git location> with the path to the XML files, and then run this command in Mudlet.

How exactly do I run this command in mudlet?

Are you trying to install m&m to help develop it? Or you just want to use the system?

Maybe to explain what I'm stuck on,  I follow the steps. The guide put the directory name in the lua script and run it. So I make this line

Yeah, none of the instructions on the github page are for -using- the system, those are only for if you want to contribute to it. It keeps getting pointed out that it causes confusion.

You're currently trying to download m&mf for live editing. If you're just using it you need to select the 'to download the system for use, see here' link which will take you to this page https://github.com/m-mf/m-mf/releases
To install you pretty much leave it as a zip and import it into mudlet via the package manager, make sure you have gmcp enabled and reopen mudlet. You can go through the mminstall options but I usually just leave it as is and play with mmconfig until I'm happy

Ok so i go to that site you linked there seems to be a bunch of class specific links, so I pick my class file and I download just this.

I made a new profile in mudlet to test it, so I go in and enable gmcp.

I then go to mudlet in the new pofile and click package manager, install, I navigate to the downloaded class file and it installs what looks like 8 "classname m&m" lines in the package manager. 

Im doing this in an offline profile as the guide suggests http://m-mf.github.io/m-mf/ 

So now the class package is installed, I log into the game and enter the command "mminstall"

It then asks a bunch of questions, I answer them.it tells me to quit, close mudlet, reopen and relog.

It seems like its installed. Just when I first log it it says ab herbs.

The only issue I have is it seems to keep spamming light pipes and I get the message "What is it you wish to light?"

I read through the guides and did all the mmconfig steamid 185405 for each pipe but it still spams the message.

Im a bit lost with it to be honest.

if you can, do 'pipelist' 

you can also do mmconfig relight off to turn off automatically relighting pipes.

ah I tinkered around with the pipes, it seems like it had the pipe list there allready but it was trying to light empty pipes. Fixed it just by manually putting the right herb in the pipes.

mmf is suddenly not curing damaged limbs without diagnosing first and then over healing them when it does cure them.

I thought maybe it was just me, but when I asked another person who I was bashing with if their limbs were curing they commented not unless they diagnose.

So not sure what has changed or how to fix it.

On a semi related not, you cannot access the docs for m&m anymore. at doc.vadisystems.... If anyone knows another site with the documentation that would be great. Until I get my system up and running I need to tinker with mmf as I go.

What specifically is not curing? Is it bashing lines? other lines?

It is while bashing, for which I do have a bashing trigger for this specific instance and for cave fishers. I have not changed the triggers since I first put them in and they have worked fine up until a couple days ago when suddenly mmf decided it didn't want to cure them anymore. I do not know what Niina has for triggers, as she just installed a clean copy of mmf, but she could only cure limbs off diagnose as well.

I use eventaffs, and even that was not picking up damagedlimbs.

Whether or not you want to trust the feedback line "Your right arm must be free."  as a symptom is debatable, mostly because I'm uncertain as to if it's the same as any other side disabling affliction, but you can easily get away with triggering the above two to deliver the affliction. Also, it's not that hard to add gmcp to incoming mmf afflictions (if it doesn't already have it, I haven't looked in a bit)
I use something along the lines of:

Yeah I made triggers for it, but it is weird that up until a couple days ago it worked fine for 6 months.
