So back to this mask/stole issue...
Not sure yet how I should react to these in-role. So far I've just pretended everything was normal, but maybe I should make a bigger deal about not recognizing people with these things.
You slip into a ghastly stole depicting severed heads. Pain lances through your body as countless wounds open upon your flesh, spewing forth an unnatural amount of blood. The blood swiftly hardens into a shell around you until the agony is almost unbearable; then, just as quickly, it crumbles away into a fine dust, leaving you touched by the Predator's will as a blade-scarred savage clad in blood-flecked armour of a deep bronze hue.
You remove a ghastly stole depicting severed heads. A pool of blood manifests beneath you and slowly rises upward until you are completely covered in a roiling torrent. A dull ache twists in your chest as the blood seeps into your very pores, changing you back to your original form.
Oh my gosh. After starting Wednesday of last week, the Shadowdancers now officially have a fully clanhelped combat clan. I don't think I've ever put this much time into anything Lusternia before, nor have I ever been so proud.
Now, it is time to go do something that is not writing mass walls of text.

That awkward moment when, utterly without thinking, you say "I got a chance to catch up with my daughter!" when your coworker asks what you did on your day off. X_X
Viravain, Lady of the Thorns shouts, "And You would seize Me? Fool! I am the Glomdoring! I am the Wyrd, and beneath the cloak of Night, the shadows of the Silent stir!"
IIRC, it's an item from either a nature seal or other random event. It's non-decay but won't reset, so don't lose it

It's because so many facets of the game are outright broken and protected by those who benefit from it being that way. An overabundance of gimmicks (including game-breaking ones), artifacts that destroy any concept of balance, blatant pay-to-win features, and an obsession with convenience that makes few things actually worthwhile all contribute to the game's sad decline.
Daraius discreetly retrieves a small crystalline scroll from his inner jacket pocket, taps a new entry on its surface with his claws, then just as quickly tucks it away.
...
Daraius swipes his pawpads across the surface of his scroll, causing the new entry to flare briefly before fading away.
...
Swiping through a rapid succession of entries on his scroll, Daraius says, "It is nothing. I tend to keep fairly detailed records about the Ministry myself."
I've been doing this kind of thing with shimmering crystalline scrolls for ages and just now realized it's an iPhone.
So. The Vortex raid was fun, but it made me realise Vortex/Continuum mobs are still probably weak compared to Avatars/Supernals/Demon Lords. Should we really be killing multiple pots in shrine powers with a ragtag group of 12ish?

This is probably me showing my naivety, but I think there's a big difference. If a supernal is killed, guardians bonded to them are without important powers. And there are only five of them. There are twelve pots, and their flesh can still be used while they are dead. Killing pots means you can't spawn more flesh until they are reraised and filled.
I also do not know how difficult it is to reraise pots, but I vaguely remember it being difficult to reraise supernals.
I've always wanted Daraius to be at least a little bit socially intimidating (like @Nihmriel), but I think I've played him all nice and supportive (like @Saaga).

@Nihmriel isn't intimidating if you ply her with cake first.

Good to see that the good cake/bad cake arrangement is still working.
Fixed.
Nihmriel and Saaga still need to be around more.

That's the last thing I'd want to do. This one time Daraius irritated her and she was so perfectly icy and authoritative that I almost wanted to stay on her bad side. :x

I forgot to save it, was just a one line white bolded text a few of us noticed.
The divine voice of Avechna, the Avenger reverberates powerfully, "Congratulations, Morkarion, you are the Bringer of Death indeed."
You see Estarra the Eternal shout, "Morkarion is no more! Mourn the mortal! But welcome True Ascendant Karlach, of the Realm of Death!

I hold this game accountable.

A quick snack.
