Maybe the cartel upgrade for extra slots can give 2-3 extra slots per upgrade. Currently it's cheaper to form a second cartel (1 slot for existing cartel for 500k, 3 slots with a new cartel for 1,000,000).
A new cartel does take a clan slot, though, and it's surprisingly easy to run up against that 10 clan limit. And at a conservative 40k per credit, the 25 credit bubble of popularity is a cool million sovereigns. YMMV.
The purpose of writing is to inflate weak ideas, obscure pure reasoning, and inhibit clarity. With a little practice, writing can be an intimidating and impenetrable fog!
Wish there was a way to designate a clan as 'official' and have it not count against the clan limits, like the BoD clan for Hallifax, or the IC intra-alliance clan(s).
Looking at an ebonguard faeling with night/crow you see "She is a nimble shadowlord faeling and etc etc "
Is it just me who dosn't like the lord part for female faelings?
Also I've been told we cant have masterwork clubs, is there a reason why not? I just think it would be awesome for roleplay purposes. Also I kinda really really want to use something like a Wyrden wood club or shillelagh.
Re: Clubs - The main thing going on with that is that masterweapons only have a few categories per weapon spec by design. Once Upon a Time, Warriors had three or four patterns to choose from for each specialisation, and bonecrushers got a choice between warhammers, morningstars, and flails (maybe a fourth I'm forgetting. Mace?).
I think the admin didn't want clubs because druids already use cudgels, maybe? Same reason we don't have quarterstaves as an option for anyone except Tahtetso, and even then under the "Tahto" pattern. Now that stats are divorced from weapon type, I suppose the Charites might be talked into a fourth pattern type for each weapon, but you'd need another big sword, another pair of dual-swords, another big axe, and another polearm to be fair to other specs (not that variety is a bad thing.)
TL;DR: No masterwork clubs because there's no masterweapon club pattern to use, and you'd need a bunch more patterns to balance out the choice for other specs, maybe.

The weapons are already in the help files: Clubs, Flails, Maces, Morning Stars, Battle Hammers for BC Shortswords, Longswords, Broadswords, Scimitars, Rapiers for BM
I was told Clubs and shortswords etc dont have masterwork stuff because they were originally designed for easy cheap to make newbie weapons when weapons had stats and stuff and one weapon was higher in damage, one in wounding one in speed etc.
Now all the weapons are essentially equal, I mean there is no difference with me using a normal club or a normal hammer. So why not open up shortswords and clubs for roleplay fun?

We looked into doing that and it wasn't really something we could easily do.
Can't help but wonder how difficult it would be (if it is at all possible) to implement an ARTIFACT LIST CREDITS and ARTIFACT LIST DINGBATS to list only credit and only dingbat artifacts one has in their possession
Kiss of the Enchantress hisses eerily, "Let them fear, and despair."
while we're at it... can artifact list please be filtered? like 'artifact list sketch' to find your master sketch seals and 'artifact list pipe' to only find your artifact pipes... and so on. basically how 'goop list' works.
Yes yes yes yeessssssssssss to being able to sort through artifact list in a logical way. Heck even making it list in alphabetic order would be a massive improvement.

Might have already been considered and probably not easy... but could creating the channels and boards work?
Like all guilds/factions have a GLT or FLT which all leaders, secretaries, and security have access to (maybe undersecs, archivists, and the like too). Similarly, cities/communes could have CCT which would be ministers and council members (and probably GCs and GAs).
For alliances maybe there could be ALT which can be switched on and off and broadcasts to a generic "alliance" channel that only mutual allies can hear with a command for the CL/Ambassador to set and remove allies.
Help files could have a similar prefix GLHELP/CCHELP. Newsboards would be say... Serenwilde-Council. Alliances might get messy with news, but maybe there could be some way where you can see ALHELPs created by mutual allies (So Celest creates a file, it's Celests file but Seren and Halli can still see it while mechanically allied.)
The only issue really is they might be if they can be infiltrated and you would need to give someone a position for them to be able to access the leadership ones.
Problem: Poteen pots are great, but less great when after using one a newbie logs in and needs lots and lots of help and you're the only person awake in the commune that (roughly) knows your ass from your elbow.
Potential Solutions:
1) I'm willing to bet that when you drunktalk to Godmin, they see straight through the drunk filter. Could newbies receive the same utility if only in tells? <<Because I've just realised that CGT also omits the filter>> The problem remains because sometimes the newb wants to have a fully and blatantly OOC conversation (I know I sure did when I was a newbie) to figure out game mechanics etc, and I'm not sure what the rules are but CGT isn't really the place to talk about mmf amirite?
OR
2) Allow Professors and Mentors to turn off drunkentalk (not any other effects of drunkenness) for a few minutes purely for the purpose of having OOC tellconvos with people who need help. I'm thinking something like SPEAKSOBER . Just as a final point, this doesn't necessarily just need to involve newbies; I've just had a long spell of trying to help somebody returning to Lusty with a well-ranked character, but who's been away for a couple years and couldn't remember planar travel, shopping etc etc.
Well, there is the dramatics perform sober that pretty much does what your soberspeak would. But if a person is a freshman novice, I do not see an issue if sending them a tell bypasses the drunk filter.
Or you know, just use the clans like we've always been doing so we actually have control over who is in and who is not.
Eh the complaint was about clanslots being consumed by clans that effectively every org/guild has. Which is something I guess I feel the game should just provide, if guilds/orgs have a common setup (The one's I suggested being the one i'd expect) then providing a solution that accounts for that can free clan slots up for those that use said common setup. If a group finds something else works for them better then they can just keep using clans.
It's also offers some convenience in that you would just have access whenever appropriate as well as losing it when you should (which doesn't always happen, I'm pretty sure Asmodea is still in the SEG for example), and the only real case where people could reasonably be denied access seems like the alliance suggestion, which could be handled with an option to ban someone from it to whatever degree is desired.

I thought that only reduced your apparent drunkenness, like alcohol resistance used to. You could still slur on public channels, it would just take more booze than normal.

Yes, it does reduce it, but you need to be about entirely inebriated to actually slur, from what I can tell
Tagging @Maylea in this, as she seems to be the most active admin talking about customization.
Would it be possible to add some other options to a customized item? Maybe I want an item to be cursed, so I can't remove it (maybe an item grafted into my body that directly references the owner in that regard), or an artifact that notifies me when it resets to me, or is a certain colour in the short desc when I'm wearing it (sort of like the hair curios).
Everiine said: The reason population is low isn't because there are too many orgs. It's because so many facets of the game are outright broken and protected by those who benefit from it being that way. An overabundance of gimmicks (including game-breaking ones), artifacts that destroy any concept of balance, blatant pay-to-win features, and an obsession with convenience that makes few things actually worthwhile all contribute to the game's sad decline.
I'm not sure if this has been brought up before, or if possible, but is there a way to suppress spammy messages at a Nexus? For example, someone raising all of their defenses at once / recharging enchantments etc. It makes it hard to concentrate if there is something going on - mainly talking to a newbie who probably is likewise having to try and keep up between these spammy messages.
It requires less lessons than Curing in discipline, which is a must-have for pretty much anyone, plus you get the 25 lessons spent back via the appropriate achievement, effectively making it and insomnia/obliviousness free to learn.

Could we move what artifact runes are attached to an item to something not probe? Like maybe weaponprobe (and allow use of wp on all items if it doesn't already work that way)?
When I probe something, having a the list of artifact runes be possibly longer than the description is odd to me - feeling like I should have to write 10+ line descriptions just to make it longer than the artifacts. Having probe have the description, weight, mark, and alias while weaponprobe has all attached runes I think would better looking...
OBLIVIOUSNESS INFLUENCE! A toggle for ignoring influencing messages only would be awesome!!!
Viravain, Lady of the Thorns shouts, "And You would seize Me? Fool! I am the Glomdoring! I am the Wyrd, and beneath the cloak of Night, the shadows of the Silent stir!"
