Had dragonfruit margaritas and sangria last night with a couple of beautiful ladies, @Kaimanahi and @Andala. Great conversation and great drinks all around. Hope we can do it again sometime soon!
Me, returning on the midnight Uber ride with Kelly:
George Takei had lunch in my little home town of 30k people today.
Everiine said: The reason population is low isn't because there are too many orgs. It's because so many facets of the game are outright broken and protected by those who benefit from it being that way. An overabundance of gimmicks (including game-breaking ones), artifacts that destroy any concept of balance, blatant pay-to-win features, and an obsession with convenience that makes few things actually worthwhile all contribute to the game's sad decline.
@Shikari and I had a chance encounter with @Kaimanahi today at the H-mart!
Whilst looking for the perfect salmon for dinner, we noticed Kaimanahi, wielding the Tongs of Craborum, battling fiercely with a pit of crabs before emerging as the victor.

Ahahaha this made me laugh out loud, a very accurate description. I am about to devour the spoils of war. Lovely to run into you guys!

Tiny update and rave for a fun weekend with nerds and hosting my first ever campaign. Dread was quite entertaining. I think the one downside was I didn't expect the players this time to play completely against the logic of horror tropes: splitting up the party, throwing one another under the bus, willingly contributing to the death of friendly NPCs, angering ghosts, etc.
Though it was very fun and very satisfying to bring out the ghost of a dead teacher (one killed very clearly through the poor choices of the party) who got to screech out, "WHICH OF YOU KILLED ME?!" Cue much finger pointing and bus shoving.
The end result was very much this. (Slight spoilers for Into the Woods?)
"Oh yeah, you're a naughty mayor, aren't you? Misfile that Form MA631-D. Comptroller Shevat's got a nice gemstone disc for you, but yer gonna have to beg for it."
My drunkle is all but explicitly confirming that he got me a sous vide circulator for christmas. No more standing over a warm pot of water FOREVER stirring it and adjusting the heat. HUZZAH
This weekend is Nekocon! I only have to dress up one day, and I get to spend the rest of the time tabletopping, photographing, socialising, and reminding the various gathered why I hold my dual crown in DDR/Smash. It'll be pretty much all of my social battery for the month of November, but it's going to be so much fun...assuming I live through linecon tonight for pre-reg.

I live 10 minutes from the convention center, just saying.

Whaaat. You live in VA too? You need to come drinking with @Rideta , @Iosen , @Tremula and I sometime!
@Pectus I'll have my people get in touch with your people (by which I mean your suggestion is definitely going to be a thing that happens sometime in the not too distant future)
Sometimes GPS days are kinda fun, we had our photos taken (with permission) because we were the first all female team of surveyors that some city workers had seen, had an employee of the botanical garden I'm guarding the equipment in come out and talk for a bit, and some other city workers come over for a chat. All the while I just chill out in a chair and read a book or play on my phone. Thankfully it's still pretty warm out too, only have a sweater and the inner fleece of my jacket on. Also, finally got my work clothes order so I have more than 2 shirts!
Non work related, going to the Disenchanted musical tonight wooo.
Avurekhos says, "Dylara's a PvP menace in my eyes, totes rekting face."
The eye of Dylara materialises in your hands and flings itself around your neck, tightening incomprehensibly until it is irremovable. Perfectly clean, this eyeball has been wrenched from the socket of Dylara. It has been animated by some unusual force, constantly looking around itself as if in shock or fear. It is bathed in a light covering of white flames that roll endlessly over its surface. A single chain of empyreal metal pierces either side of the eye, allowing it to be worn around the neck.
Five more days to Dr Strange. Booking tickets now. Happy boy!
Can you weigh in on whether this could be worth springing for the 3D IMAX experience? I've never found 3D to add much to any movie (especially for the premium price you pay), but those kaleidoscopic visuals have me wondering.
Can confirm that if you see only one movie in IMAX 3D (as is likely going to be the case for me), you can do a lot worse than Doctor Strange.
I also saw Doctor Strange, though not in IMAX. It was actually pretty decent! Like most Marvel movies, it didn't take itself too seriously and was pretty silly at times, but the characters were very well done and fleshed out. I will say, however, that I prefer Benedict Cabbagepatch in his British form.
Yeah would anyone have batted an eye at the concept of a British Doctor Strange? The only thing that diminishes my enthusiasm for his future appearances in the Marvelverse is that accent.
Yessss the first two Zero Escape games are finally coming to Steam next year. I'm so buying this when it comes out despite already having both games. Virtue's Last Reward is best game of all time.
