In the middle of Klangiary did Avechna's mighty voice shake the firmament, marking the beginning of the Seal of Life. Denizens throughout the Basin of Life found themselves succumbing to a mysterious plague as the Domotheos of Life warbled, and only the intervention of adventurers might see it stable again.

Though the plague seemed resistant at first, soon those participating found themselves making headway, and the challenge truly began. While the first few minutes saw a lethargy of action, with several furrikin remaining diseased and wanting throughout the Basin, after some study and practise Galaphyrae soon took the lead by leaps and bounds and would stay there - never once being displaced from her place.

The challenge for the remaining places was no less interesting for the gap that was presented, however, as Ashira and Ayisdra briefly struggled for the spot before Ashira found new competitors in Qillilitli, Llani, and Eritheyl. Through fierce competition over what furrikin could be found, the four quickly saw themselves divided, with Eritheyl and Ashira setting pace against each other even as Llani strove to overcome Qillilitli. It was not until the final fifteen minutes that Llani would find her pace and rocket ahead, usurping Ashira at the last moment and stealing her position by but two furrikin.

The Trial of War met the early days of Dioni, finding only four teams willing to brave the Avenger's promised tourney. Though much more traditional than the last occurance of the Ascension Trials, the bouts proved no less intimidating, skillful, or entertaining for the fact.

The Hallifaxian team (consisting of Calioliahali, Fillirriqili, and Qillilitli) and Magnagoran Team (consisting of Ruiku, Malarious, and Zagreus) were the two to watch among the others, emerging victorious through both the first and final rounds of combat respectfully as they each triumphed in their first match before meeting once more in the finals. In the end it would be the Magnagoran team who emerged triumphant, and among them Ruiku who would claim the title of Sealbearer of War.

Thirteen challengers gathered in the Cave of Justice to declare their desire to participate in the Challenge of Justice. The debates that ensued were well-researched and passionate, and rarely short. Shango D'Cente rose in the rankings quickly, winning the debate with almost every opponent he faced. His only loss was to Kalas Ruiku but he quickly recovered, winning the Medallion of Justice against Ruiku in the final debate. Calioliahali Skydrifter debated fiercely alongside her sister, Qillilitli Skydrifter. Both of them defeated challengers right and left but ultimately placed as third and fourth respectively. Tying right behind them were Ayisdra Ysav'rai and Veldrin D'Cente.
