Greetings members of His Pack.

Since my last post I have been dismayed at the few times people have taken me up on my offer of joining in my hunts. So I have decided to host a simple competition, which Lord Shikari has graciously allowed me to do.

The notion is simple, I challenge you, His Pack. All of you as one team. We have all have a year, until the 2nd of Dvarsh, 366 years after the coming of Estarra to hunt, kill and offer to the Lord Predator.

Influencing will not be counted, esteem will not be counted, only corpses will count towards the final score, whatever corpses they may be.

At the deadline I shall total up all offerings, should the Pack as a collective hunt me, there will be a prize to the top three among you.  You will not be challenging just me, but competing amongst each other.  50 credits to first place, 25 to second and 10 to third.

The offerings of both His Fangs will count towards this combined tally of the Pack, but they will not be eligible for prizes.

Of course,should you fail to better my total, there will be nothing.

Subj: The Sabertooth's challenge results.

Greetings, members of His Pack.

A year ago I set the challenge to you all, and today that challenge has ended.

The last twelve months will be forever remembered in history for the ruthless savagery that descended upon the denizens of the Basin and the continents and planes beyond. Those of you who took up the challenge did so with a fury that no other Order could match. Day turned to night as blood flowed, flesh was rendered and organs spilled from those who you all deemed your prey.

It was a result far greater than I had imagined, I had initially challenged the Pack, but your ferocity and drive in turn challenged me.

And so to the results, there were no figurines offered and a small adjustment of less than 500,000 essence for the influencing of His Leopards for His Divine Blessings.

The scores are as thus.

Morkarion offered a total of 60,295,154 essence.

The Pack offered a total of 64,090,580 essence.

The Pack wins by 3,795,426 essence.

Congratulations to you all, not just on your victory as a team, but for reaching a combined total of over 120,000 essence in a year. That is 10million a month, more than some of the other Orders can dream to raise in a full year.

Do not let your victory, nor this accomplishment go to your heads, nor is this the time to put your feet up and bask in the glory of your achievement. Allow the taste of blood to linger on your lips, do not still the adrenaline that flows through your body, and let that thirst, that hunger, that desire to destroy burn like a fire within you, wanting more. Let it be your drive, your inspiration, for the the hunts to come in the months, years and decades ahead.

Many of you took to the hunt for the first time, do not look back on this time as something that was different and a change from your normality. Look back on this as the point as the moment where you embraced the thrill of the hunt: the stalking, the chase, the kill.

And so with the Pack's triumph, there are rewards as promised to the top three.

In third place, awakening from his long slumber to hear the challenge is Aurik. Wasting little time that he did not even knock the dust off his armour and Katana before before he drenched both in the blood of his prey, often found at times stood in the middle of a pile of corpses reaching up to chest height. His courage as unwavering as the Standard he so often bore well.

In second place, with determination, quick learning, and a natural talent for violence is Iorwen. Despite little experience she soon proved herself to be as capable as any Pack member, tearing her victims apart with unstoppable magical might. Yet in all the time she participated in the contest she did so without neglecting her duties to in the Blacktalon, and even found time to get married. What a lucky bastard he is!

And in first place, with a thirst for violence that grew as quickly and as vast as his own strength and capabilities is Kio. As each month passed by, his prowess, skill and at times recklessness abandonment in the pursuit of greater challenges has not only won him this contest, but given him the power to stand amongst the Titans of the Basin. It is not a case of if the newly elected Keeper of the Blackened Bones will ignite the divine spark within him, but merely a matter of when.

Congratulations to all three of our winners, and again to the Pack as a whole for an achievement beyond what I first imagined possible. I am proud to stand among each and every one of you in His Pack.

And with that said, I look forward to seeing all of you in the hunts to come.

So...

Goddamn I'm knackered. That's been 12 days of immense fun and no-sleep hell at the same time, I will be dreaming in bashing code for at least the next week now. 

I'd like to quickly take this opportunity to thank the Coca-Cola company, and the guys who do those 5 hour epic music videos on Youtube for keeping me awake.

On a more serious note, a huge thanks to Xenthos for giving me the encouragement to do this, and Shikari for the nod to go ahead with it. But most importantly to all the guys and girls in the order that took part, not just for keeping me on my toes, but for the overwhelming response and activity that has happened. This is the first event as such I've ever organised in game, and I was apprehensive as to how well it would go. Safe to say it exceeded my expectations beyond any realistic thought I had.

I promise you all I will now get some rest (probably the next day and a half straight) Though I blame you guys for playing sleep chicken with "I'll go to bed when you do" and both sides afraid of the other driving the score up a couple of nights. I remember I think it was Friday night we were about 80 mil or so in and I suggested to Xenthos that we could do 120 million, and the Order would average 10 mil a day, I think he thought I was mad at the time.

He probably still does come to think of it. Amazing job folks, now go to bed.

Hmmm... 60 million in a 12 day span. Now I'm curious just how well I'd do. I know that there is stuff keeping me from just hinting, but I may shoot for a good run!

Astral was in a pretty terrible state during it, and I dropped one day for Morkarion's wedding.

It's an average of about 5 mil a day, possible if you've got the time to invest into it, have fun!
