Sudden as a splash
are the friendships kindled here,
for bright is the light
of silver fireflies that dance
with the steps of the Seren.
-Xiran, 16 Dioni, 650
Last month, a handsome sylph sought out our Isotta of the White Hands on a quest to find the most beautiful of each fae. After an exchange of pleasantries and songs, the encounter quickly deteriorated when the sylph became fixated on Isotta's comb and a struggle ensued as he tried to wrest it from her, an ordeal that would see them fall together into her pool.
Perhaps unbeknownst to the sylph, Isotta had received a visitor by way of her pool a month prior in another disconcerting encounter. When Isotta emerged from the pool with her comb before the sylph, she became quite distressed at not only having her treasured comb stolen but also another trespasser into her pool. Such was the emotion that the pool responded and attracted more fireflies into its depths where they blinked and flickered wildly around the sylph within it.
What would emerge from the pool after this wild tumult was neither sylph nor fireflies, but something quite new. Quite different. The Lady Maylea, Who had been drawn by Isotta's cries, identified him as an ephemeral spirit and dubbed him the Scintillae before bidding him to our care and wondering if he might bring new colours to the Serenwilde.
And so it was that Junzain was welcomed under the eaves of the Grace of the Moonhart.
Be blessed ever under Moon's silver gaze,
for I remain,
Galaphyrae
