Newly back to the game after 6 years- High level levelling help

Like in my other post I am newly back to the game after 6 years, and am a level 80 nihilist (I didn't want to clog that post with TOO many questions). From looking around it sounds like it is a very very good idea to grind towards demigod to be able to meaningfully do pvp, which I would like to do seeing as how most of my skills seem to only affect players (plus demigod just looks really interesting). However, my levelling just bumming around the two levels of Shallach has been really really slow. So I wanted to check if anyone had any advice on how to efficiently and even enjoyably bash. I know it is possible that hammering symbol strike and restocking curatives for hours on end to get a single level might be the best case scenario, but I didn't want to give up before I tried consulting more knowledgeable/smarter people. Currently I am just using Nexus, though I do have mudlet and mushclient.
