Ophir slips an arm through Hegemone's, resting her shoulder lightly to her. With a faint, fond smile, she observes you and Ophion.
Hegemone glances askance to Ophir, her posture straightening.
You have emoted: Soft sounds of a burbling fountain seem to echo loudly in the silence as Adal takes one long breath. Gently, she exhales. "It has finally come to this moment. One some of you were most aware of, others perhaps not. It is with a heavy heart that I leave my family this day to start an adventure within a new." Briefly she squeezes Ophion's hand. "My heart in turn lightens, when I
imagine the days I will spend side by side with my beloved, nestled with a family of our own. And though I may leave n'Kylbar in name, I am still of a child of blood and will always hold them close to my heart."
You have emoted: Looking to each and every one of those she considers family, Adal offers you all a fond smile. "Thank you. For everything you've done, everything you will do. It was an honour to
stand among you and bear your name." Titling her head toward Ophion, she asks, "have you anything to say before we commence, my darling?"
"I do," Ophion says with a subtle hint of amusement, squeezing your hand in return. "Indeed, let this union signify not a loss, but a unity of our noble houses that shall come to stand as an example of how through cooperation we find strength, for we each are the Engine's own, here, above all." He makes an elegant, open gesture with his free hand, before finishing, looking at you, and then Ophir, "The blood of our families shall run strongly for generations to come."
Ophion looks to Kailanna, saying, "Lady Grey, if you would please join us?" Hand in hand, the couple proceeds toward the altar.
Kailanna gives a slight nod, striding smoothly over to stand before the couple, opposite those gathered.
You have emoted: Before the symbol of the Hungerer, Adal stands proud, silhouetted by subtle fractured beams of light at pass through the dome's glass. She turns, taking now both of Ophion's hands within her own. "Ophion. My darling. Love. Heart of my heart, and all of those endearments. Together we stepped through the Portal of Fate, two serfs with no names, no memories but of each other. We've been together since day one, my love and together we shall remain even when this world passes into nothingness. I am honoured to stand here before you. Your wife, in everything but name, soon to be rectified. Soon to be as it were meant to be." Pausing to take a breath, she continues, eyes fond. "Through pain and suffering we've walk and times happy and well. With you by my side will weather any storm that may pass. I love you, my darling."

You have emoted: Knuckled in a bone-white grip, Adal draws a ritual dagger of spiders across her palm in a graceful arch. Sanguine flecks the ground in the faintest spray, blood oozing steadily from her palm as she hands the oddly clean dagger to Ophion.

Ophion begins to wield a sinister ritual dagger of spiders in his left hand.
"Adal," Ophion starts, smiling, gazing toward his beloved. "Always have you been at my side, encouraging me, adoring me, inspiring me, be it through cherished word or a well-needed kick in the shin." His lips curve into a brief, playful grin, "It is through you that I first came to know true beauty, my Muse, and now you lie in every brush stroke, resound in every note. I have both always seen this day come, and yet hardly believed I may continue to be this fortunate. We are tied, you and I, not through Fate, but through pure will, through depthless hunger, through sheer stubbornness against all that has stood against us, and ever shall."
Deathsinger Ophion d'Vanecu, Quiescent in Violet says to you, "I embrace our future, and look forward with how we may further transform each other, irrevocably, irreparably, without a single regret. I love you, my Adal."
Pulling back his sleeve as he holds out his wrist, Ophion keeps his violet gaze locked with you. Calmly, he lifts his hand, then slices the wickedly sharp blade along his palm. Beads and trickles of dark, liquid amethyst are immediately left in the wake of the cold steel, dripping freely to the ground.
You have emoted: Smiling faintly at the self mutilation in mimic to her own, Adal draws Ophion close, fingers entwining with his own as she draws him near. "My love. Through the blood and pain we've traveled. And thus by Nil's fire and the gaze of our people are we forever bound. May our union flicker with the same merciless passion, never quenched." Tighter the hands grasp in a near-painful embrace. Eddies of crimson light begin to spill forth from between clenched fingers. The smallest bead of sweat drips down her brow as concentration takes her smile.
"Never stagnant. Never still," Ophion continues, his arm trembling as he holds fast. "And together be the heat, the hunger and the inspiration that stokes us in the eternal cold of blessed undeath."
Blood begins to coil and lash around the wrist of you and Ophion , and soon the sizzling scents and sounds of charred flesh fill the air. Rivulets of blood rapidly burst out into lattices and whorls of fresh wounds that mark organic paths from wrist to shoulder, binding and clenching the skin with unholy magic. As the liquid dissipates, all that is left upon either body is a fresh, intricate wound.
Kailanna looks first to you, then to Ophion, a faint smile tugging at the corner of her lips. "I shall give few words then, and I suppose I shall keep it brief." She looks to the crowd a moment, then back to the couple. "As nobles of Magnagora, you both possess a great many things. Wealth, influence, power. Trinkets that range from the rare to the powerful to the exorbitantly expensive. Despite this, there are only a very few things with real value. Family is the first of these, formed by blood and by oath, neither of which should be given lightly."
Kailanna pauses a moment, giving a serious, appraising look to both. "Here before me, I see two who understand the value of these things, who draw strength from them, and who are strong enough to bear them responsibly." A slight smile crosses her face again, briefly, before she continues. "I have lived over three centuries, and have seen many marriages between nobles. Most are for power or prestige, which is quite appropriate, of course. Those things are present here, certainly, but I also see a very rare connection not often found in Magnagoran marriages, one that will likely give this bond the strength to outlast many of those which have come before. I have never seen a pair so well-matched that I would consider giving up one of my most cherished bloodline, but here we stand, defying preconceptions."
Kailanna looks from one to the other once more. "If there is nothing more to be said?"
You say to Ophion, "I've spoken my heart, my thoughts and feelings before all those who stand here. I have little other to say than, I love you and always will."
Deathsinger Ophion d'Vanecu, Quiescent in Violet says to you, "There's ever more to say, but greater than any word shall now be the act."
You authorize Kailanna to officiate your wedding.
Kailanna nods, opening her hands before her. "Then, by my authority as Countess of Magnagora, and by my service to the Lady Enchantress, I declare these two souls bound."
I generally log on for half an hour before work in the mornings and today, was almost late to work because of doing the first part of a tour of the Serenwilde for Trialante. It was quite fun even if I had to leave partway through and hand over the reigns to someone else.
