Instead of having a weird deep rumbling laugh, Gurashi can have the happy, chittering laugh he deserves without using balance to emote as much.
‘It’s important to be kind. You can’t know all the times that you’ve hurt people in tiny, significant ways. It’s easy to be cruel without meaning to be. There’s nothing you can do about that. But you can choose to be kind. Be kind.’
As the resident shape-shifting god of chaos and dress-up, I can confirm that emoverride is a life-saver. Being able to just flip emotes on and off for each of my Aspects is genius, and I have no less than 5 rumbling AND trillinglaughs at the top of my list. Heap praise and love upon your coder overlords, everyone, because they deserve it.
Oh, I didn’t even think about making different sets of emotes that toggle on and off. Definitely have to do that now because one’s eyes do not simply sparkle the same when one wears a pair of thin spectacles vs a stylish pair of aetherpiloting goggles.
Heck, maybe it would be worthwhile to code in the non-corporeal emotes too in case Dar goes motey again in the future. Didn’t realize you could do multiple overrides for the same emote.

I also had no idea... now it is an A++ function!!

With serverside curing taking the wind out of the sales of illusions that trick healing systems, that's more likely than ever! But probably still not probable.

A page or so back, people were raving about the permanent effects we can have on NPCs and the world.
Adasser exists because the existence of one lone elfen guard was treated by the guild as a joke on Ev, who hated him. So of course, the admins made him permanent, with a name.
Adasser's title referencing Sister Wolverine is from a vision quest that he went on with Turnus and Ev, where they fought and slew a giant sandworm (which ate Turnus, who carved his way out of the worm's belly).
Adasser used to fight with a sword. Then a friendly Serenguard gave him an axe, so that's what he carries now.
Tokota and Adushoc met, fell in love, and got married because a Moondancer wanted them to meet and talk about the difference between astrology and stargazing. Best matchmaking ever!
Tokota and Adushoc still wear and have items that were given to them, some as wedding presents.
Cataka's story includes her being a Centaur Sister as a continuation and legitimization of Ev being called Centaur Brother by the centaurs.
The term "True Seren" in Serenwilde's Vengeance Game was lifted from a book Ev wrote about the events the game recreates.
The circles of stone near Moon River are there because Gwylifar was emoting searching the woods and bringing the stones there, setting up the circles. When he returned, the circles were an in-game item.
I've lost count of the number of little details inspired by player action that have enriched and deepened the world of Lusternia. It truly is incredible!
Everiine is a man, and is very manly. This MAN before you is so manly you might as well just gender bend right now, cause he's the manliest man that you ever did see. His manly shape has spurned many women and girlyer men to boughs of fainting. He stands before you in a manly manerific typical man-like outfit which is covered in his manly motto: "I am a man!"

Pony power all the way, yo. The more Brontaurs the better.
A slightly belated rave, @Uzriel aka the greatest and most awesomest person ever bought me a gnome weapon pen and I looooooove it so much, and one day I will turn it into a paintbrush and it will be even more awesome. #mymentorisbetterthanyours

"Oh yeah, you're a naughty mayor, aren't you? Misfile that Form MA631-D. Comptroller Shevat's got a nice gemstone disc for you, but yer gonna have to beg for it."
Cries in gratitude both for whomever was controlling NPCs/statue/cow nonsense from yesterday, but also, as always: @Lief! Beautiful Lief! Kindest Lief! To heck with you, Lief!

Amazing beautiful stunning avatar by Gurashi! ~ A gentle breeze ruffles your wings and whispers in your ears, as if for you alone, "Dragonfly's words shine... seeds, sown and tended, inspire... a forest harvest." ~ Maylea reaches out, Her fingers poised in midair. "Now you are of Me, even more than you were before." Her golden and azure eyes glitter. "Walk well, Eldin. Shed glory in My name, and bring life to the lifeless."
I would like to drop in here and give a huge, huge rave to all the admin who helped create this week's event. It's impossible to see the number of hands involved as a player, but there were so many of them (over 10 in total!) and all of them worked incredibly hard to produce the various moving parts. Some of which were diabolical in their complexity!
A second rave is due to all of you, for throwing yourselves so wholeheartedly into the puzzles and story of Isikathi's Paradox. We have all been given so much joy and happiness by seeing your reactions, and are still buzzing about them today. Thank you so much!
There hasn't been enough raves about the event, it was super fun!
I'm sure everybody in Havens had a laugh at our expense in the collective puzzle solving in both the future and the past timequakes.
I'm really curious if there was more to the immaculate puzzle that we missed as once we figured out -what- to do it was really quick unlike the other two puzzles.
@Uzriel it was supposedly a Lights Out puzzle, so switching one of the swirls to light would force the adjacent ones to go dark, and vice versa. Aonia said we (you all, really, because I never got a genuflect off in time) got very lucky and solved it faster than anyone imagined possible. Lucky indeed, because I don't think anyone came to the conclusion that it was a Lights Out puzzle before it was solved.
I'm salty that Daraius is described drumming his fingers impatiently in an events post (and briefly in a room description) because that's so out of character for him, but it was definitely a super fun series of puzzles. Many raves to all involved. XD
The problem was that due to the size of Timequakes it was only a 4x4 grid - the cunning mind behind the puzzle thinks if we'd made it bigger than that, you would have been much less likely to brute force it.
I think a couple of people had worked the puzzle out, but only just when it finished - it surprised us a lot!

They were very good, and they were beautifully written, and It's-a-Kathy's storyline was so achingly bittersweet! We got to work with our enemies! We got to save a long lost Goddess! I got to eat shoes!! It was a very good event. Thanks for all your hard work!
