Ieptix and I will be attending an Iron Realms admin meet in Las Vegas next weekend. If anyone lives in the area or happens to be in Vegas, we will be at Eyecandy at Mandalay Bay on Saturday, July 25 at around 3:00 p.m. Other Iron Realms admin and players may be there as well! Message me if you think you might want to see us in case any info changes. You'll be able to ask us anything!

Is it a formal event? Is there a specific suite room? I'd like to be prepared and whatnot.

Google "Eyecandy Mandalay Bay", it should tell you all to need (basically it seems like it's just a gathering of some IRE staff and whatever players want to come at a club that afternoon).

I can assure you that the Lusternian IRE staff is a great deal of fun to hang out with, for anyone who lives close enough to think about joining them.  I would definitely recommend it!

Sounds good! How long will the gathering be held? It's about a 3 hour drive if I drive like I usually do, so I'd hope we'd get to hang out for awhile!

To my knowledge (which is minimal, because I've never done one of these new-fangled-but-actually-over-a-decade-old admin meets), we're just hanging out at the bar or club or whatever that place is that Estarra mentioned that afternoon and seeing if anyone shows up to chat and such.

EDIT: There's no set duration for the gathering, afaik. Probably basically until people get bored/tired and start disappearing, unless there end up being plans for something else that evening.

Are people under 21 allowed in? I'm 20, but I assume the bar people will be pretty stiff about the rules

The Googles tell me it is 21+ only. I've sent off an email to the persons in charge of organizing stuff to see if a venue change might be possible or if we might perhaps move somewhere else later in the evening or something. If you're set on attending I'm sure we can figure something out regardless, though.

That would be great! Sorry to inconvenience you guys like this, not being 21 sucks. I'm also bringing a friend, so hopefully it'll all be worthwhile!

So a venue change isn't happening, and I'm told Vegas in general is pretty under-21-unfriendly. Unfortunately, I am not wise in the realm of casinos and bars and dealing with age restrictions, so the help/advice I can personally give is rather limited.

Eyecandy is in the center of the casino surrounded by shops/cafes. If you do come, just join the group and I somehow doubt you'll be carded. But if you are, Ieptix and I can take you to one of the surrounding cafes or maybe we could journey to Excaliber for some arcade games!

Honestly, just don't order something alcholic and you'll be fine.  Vegas is pretty easy going as far as that's concerned.

Just landed. Don't know if I'll be able to stay long on sat at 3pm since family obligations too, but if there are possible night plans or if anyone's staying the weekend I will be around. I'm staying at the Mandalay, do hope to be able to see folks here!

Just a heads up, we are meeting outside the Eyecandy club, but moving somewhere else once people are gathered for reasons. If you're showing up but we've moved on already, email me at ieptix@lusternia.com and I'll let you know where we've moved to/give directions, etc.
