Yeah. And Anita kept up really well, even without a fingerblade (which probably would have been the most important thing for this after the quickening/power aetheric rings), and tons of opposition. Solid work.
Congratulations @Aerys and everyone who was supporting!
And OMG YAY @ANITA I've never known someone be so calm when being attacked by four people at once (while I'm fjkdslajfjing not even being present)! You were amazing, well dooooone!!
It was hectic and I felt all over the place... but as always, I'm stunned and proud by how involved everyone was. Those who could make it: Aerdiya, Arupsta, Celina, Dramshanks, Idrazil, Lerad, Morkarion, Rykinia, Tacita, Tau, Varick and Zouviqil -- you make things fun. A rave for the best group of people on the internet: Glomdoring.
And I count all those special people from Gaudi and Mag who are amazing in their own right. I don't know all your names (and I can't remember who was about), but these people are pretty darn awesome: Chade, Feyda, Steingrim, Shuyin, Sidd, Akyaevin, and Arimisia!!
Congratulations to @Aerys, I'm glad it's family that won!!
Yay, I came second! But it wouldn't have been without the help of some really awesome people, especially @Svorai - this lady is awesome, kept me calm and did a lot of the work. Without her, I'd have done poop.
Raves to all of Hallifax, Serenwilde and Celest for their tremendous help netting the Life Seal! Specific raves go out to @Rivius and @Talan for being truly instrumental in our victory. Thanks, all!
[Edit]
I also want to give a shout out to @Shuyin. Perhaps those weren't new tactics, but they were to me. Frustrating though it was, I had a good time handling your presence. Made me mix up my own tactics.

Lots of raves from me as well. It was definitely fun playing to save the fuzzies.
Also a big rave for @Tariel, our newest ephemeral. It was fun interacting... and I can't help but think of this when I noticed you floating on your cloud:
Plus, you came to us right after Valentine's Day.
Forgiveness is the fragrance that the violet sheds on the heel that has crushed it.
Another missed event for me, but I love that Hallifax is making a strong showing this year. I haven't contributed a darn thing to any if it, but I'm definitely feeling temporarily, adjacently victorious. Great job, everyone. :x

Edit: We got an Ephemeral??
Yus, we did... and she is Absolutely adorable.

I just want to throw in a little rave for @Talan . Her efforts and aptitude for organising us is just phenomenal. She discussed things aggressively, made newsposts, ironed out plans, answered questions, prepared us for the challenges, both in Harmony with Pejat and now Life with Aerys. She also delegated us non-Pejat and non-Aerys individuals in such a way that we maximized our teamwork. There's probably even more stuff I haven't listed that she's done. We're really lucky to have you among us, I think. So, thank you.
I'd like to give a rave at @Septim - figured out where there's an office for me and explained a few things about the guildhall, super grateful!
Today has been a pretty good day, I have to say!
Rave for @Haezon - your enthusiasm is contagious and you're a joy to speak to, the last couple of interactions have been interesting and I look forward to more
Raves to everyone who participated in Death, on all sides. Was nice to see people continuing to come back and to see novices/newbies joining in. Regardless of the event score, everyone did great. Good job!
After last year I felt absolutely gutted, and have devoted a lot of time in different ways since for today's event and I won't lie, last night I was nervous as can be. Firstly I'm just relieved that all the time spent on this paid off.
However it was far from an individual performance and as such there's a lot of people that deserve a thank you.
Firstly @Feyda for being an absolute legend today and spending god knows how many hours with me tracking and maintaining pits, and then going beyond exception to pull up 21 in 40 minutes when her deck got nuked. When I've been ranting, raving, and at times forgetting I was on microphone and cursing and singing to myself, the entire time she's kept an amazingly cool head throughout.
@Tacita After last year when I was building my team this year I had her first on my list again, whether it was bard songs, boots, shields, mono dropping or hero gusts at the cost of her own life (sorry!) She stuck with me thick and thin, and was my relay to the outside world. Anyone who has a bard in their Death team is definitely running with a big boost for mechanical reasons, but having a player like her is a difference maker in its own right.
And lastly, with no snark, sarcasm, or any hint of aggression or irony, I have to give a lot of credit to @Kelly. In the last 12 months no one has pushed me harder or given me more to think on for this, as well as many other matters on a constant basis. No one has thrown more situations at me where I've had to learn to adapt and overcome, and I know full well that fighting you week in week out has made me a much better player. You've given me that sense of competition that motivates me to push harder and better myself. When I say I've spent the year on this, it's because I've been spending as much time on my own plan as I have trying to figure out what yours would be, and in doing so I've learned a lot about this brilliant, horribly addictive, emotional rollercoaster of a game.
Sincerely, thank you, you've given me absolute hell and it's been brilliant.

You see Estarra the Eternal shout, "Morkarion is no more! Mourn the mortal! But welcome True Ascendant Karlach, of the Realm of Death!
Congrats to @Morkarion for winning the Death Challenge! I honestly wish I had something more to say about it other than that, but I don't. So I'll leave it there.

I am glad I stuck about for Death, even though I kinda hurt from lack of sleep this morning. Thanks to @Svorai for urging me to reconsider and stick about. I actually ended up aliasing and coding combat stuff I'd been putting off for a while in under an hour and it worked as well as it could. Then afterwards I learned about this thing called 'obliviousness' which I didn't have on and I wondered how people picked target names out of this whirlwind of scrolling text. Such a beginner mistake *blush* I also got separated and lost a few times, though in the end that benefited my explorer rank, and I recalled the awesome that is TELEPORT NIGHT to get myself back to known grounds It's kinda being thrown in the deep end of the pool, but all in all it is a good learning experience and I urge new players to get into the challenges whenever possible, especially as there is no xp loss
And of course, big congrats to @Morkarion, whom I actually brought to the game, and was really confused by it at the start. Luckily I know him well enough that if he sets his mind to things he achieves them, and that was proven with the seal. So it kinda feels like winning, too
You have received a new honour! Congratulations! On this day, you have shown your willingness to ensure a bug-free Lusternia for everyone to enjoy. I may have also made use of TELEPORT NIGHT when I found out that I could NATURE FLOW to Kelly in Icewynd. That was an "Oh, bleep" moment, lemme tell you.

Can we please have more of these no-loss, freeforall fights? Like, scheduled events that AREN'T the arena? I was frustrated to no end at getting steamrolled repeatedly, but just the fact that ONE new (and I say 'new' mainly just because I don't recognize you) person took something from it makes me want more. We need more learning!

This is still a fairly new character, but overall I am new to combat / events because I always mistakenly assumed they would not be for me. And my past attempts on my old character were not very fruitful either, despite some people really trying. There is a good chunk of personal growth in there too. In fact, that may be the largest factor. But it does certainly help when you are part of an org that cares and actually shows why every newbie matters.

Now the kill team, @Svorai, @Xenthos, @Vadi, @Shuyin, @Viynain, @Akyaevin, @Silvanus, @Aerdiya, @Rialorm @Zouviqil, @Anita, @Kethaera, @Idrazil, @Rykinia, @Tarkenton, @Aislynn, @Marcella, @Alary, @Kithan, @Sahmiam and if I missed anyone I'm sorry! You guys were just brilliant at keeping the pressure off me at all times. I expected to die in this contest, I didn't expect to end it with a fully charged ur'Stone.
