Selenity and Kregarn meet Lira and Taimon

SelenitySelenity My first MC to stay in Serenwilde
Unblooded @Kregarn Silvershield, Keep of Everiine says, "Also, there's a pathway
here."

Sunlight billows across the realm, revealing the full glory of the majestic
sun's luminous presence as he climbs higher into the sky.

Unblooded Kregarn Silvershield, Keep of Everiine says, "So we don't HAVE to
solve the flute thing."
Lira the Songstress says, "Though my people gladly borrowed instruments from any
and all other races, our lore holds that the pan flute was a unique invention of
the sileni, imbued with the Endless Song."

Unblooded Kregarn Silvershield, Keep of Everiine says, "Though we don- huh?"

You blink.

Unblooded Kregarn Silvershield, Keep of Everiine says, "Endless Song?"
Lira the Songstress says, "Many of my people claim the Endless Song runs in
sileni blood, but those of us initiated to the greater Mysteries are taught that
the Song is greater and broader than only our race, that it flows through all
that is, was, or will be. I am not sure if this includes the Soulless..."
Lira the Songstress purses her lips pensively, gazing off into the distance as
she carefully gathers her thoughts.

Unblooded Kregarn Silvershield, Keep of Everiine says, "Mysteries?"
Lira the Songstress says, "It is the duty of the Songstresses to maintain the
Mysteries of our people, and though I share some lore with you, dwarf, most I
still hold sacred."

You ask, "Perhaps Taimon knows more?"
Lira the Songstress says, "I think Taimon was the heart and soul of our clan
before it was destroyed. He left the leadership to others, but was a bringer of
much joy and stability behind the scenes."

Unblooded Kregarn Silvershield, Keep of Everiine says, "Who are the
Songstresses?"
Lira the Songstress says, "It is the duty of the Songstresses to maintain the
Mysteries of our people, and though I share some lore with you, dwarf, most I
still hold sacred."

Kregarn greets Taimon of the Harmony with a sincere smile.
Taimon of the Harmony says, "As you wish. I shall answer what questions I may."

Lira the Songstress says, "Why, I am a Songstress."

Kregarn blinks.

Unblooded Kregarn Silvershield, Keep of Everiine says to Lira the Songstress,
"You did mention that."

You nod your head emphatically.

Unblooded Kregarn Silvershield, Keep of Everiine says to Lira the Songstress,
"But there's really nothing more you can tell us about your people?"

Long, curling chestnut hair falls around the elfen features and pointed ears of
this diminutive woman, bringing out the stunning emerald green of her eyes. A
translucent garland of vines and pearlescent flowers lies across her brow.
Covered from the waist down in fawn-coloured fur, this woman's legs end in sharp
cloven hooves. A pale blue sash is drawn around her torso and tied across her
breastbone like a halter, the ends trailing loose to flutter in an ethereal
breeze.
Lira the Songstress looks to be crushingly strong.

With the softest of smiles, Lira the Songstress says, "Have what I have been
telling you thus far been enough, dear dwarf?"

Lira the Songstress says, "Would you dare me break sacred vows?"

Lira the Songstress again smiles, a gentle quirk of her lip.

You see a deer wander through a clearing in the distance.

Unblooded Kregarn Silvershield, Keep of Everiine says, "No, I suppose not. I
simply thought there might be something we've missed in asking you. Selenity
here, and the Spiritsingers, have regeretably little knowledge of the Voice of
Trialante and those She was connected with."
Taimon of the Harmony says, "When Kiakoda laid us here in this glade, it was a
great honour, for the Voice of Trialante was our companion and keeper. The
sileni sing with a fire and power unknown to other races, but the Voice... oh,
her song is the culmination of everything, far beyond the power of my kind."

You nod your head at Kregarn.

Unblooded Kregarn Silvershield, Keep of Everiine says, "We thought you might
know more that you could share with them."

You say, "We know much of it you cannot say, will not say."

You say, "You spoke that before."

Lines of power flare up along your body, connected by shimmering points of light.
For a brief moment, your body becomes a canvas displaying the constellations of
Lusternia before the light flickers and fades away.

Striking wood notes accented with a bright, fresh fragrance drift on the breeze
away from Kregarn.

Lira the Songstress says, "Perhaps I can share an insight or two, at least, as
long as Taimon finds it amenable."

Kregarn tilts his head curiously.

Lira the Songstress tilts her attention toward the spirit-man, the sileni known
as Taimon.

You ask Taimon of the Harmony, "Would it be alright with you then, sir?"

The smell of wildflowers wafts past your nose.

The sun reaches the zenith of the firmament, pausing in his quest to allow the
land to bask in his shining golden rays.

Taimon of the Harmony blinks.

His head turned to Lira, Taimon of the Harmony says, "Aye, it is fine with me,
Lira. But has it been so long that you forget you get to make the decisions, as
a leader of our kin?"

Lira the Songstress gives a trillingly melodic laugh.

A wry smile spreads across Kregarn's face.

The Portal of Fate flashes as Shaerni steps through, now ready to begin a fresh
life in Lusternia.

Lira the Songstress says, "I have not forgotten, Taimon!" Again the sileni
laughs, the sound like a babbling brook or the sound of a chime. "I merely
thought you would like to be a part of our conversation."

Lira the Songstress her attention to the two of you. "Taimon was once a leader
too, but he passed off that mantle to the Songstresses, to me."

Comprehension flashes across your face.

Taimon of the Harmony nods his head emphatically.

Comprehension flashes across Kregarn's face.

reason not to take the time to bond with all of them?"

You say, "I'd happily learn from both of you, whichever of you wishes to share
knowledge."

Taimon of the Harmony says, "Not all leaders need be a Songstress, but all
Songstresses became leaders. A sacred tradition to keep the Music alive."

Eyes glittering like fireflies, Lira the Songstress exclaims, "Oh, but what do
you want to know? Surely, we could prattle on for ages!"

The corners of Kregarn's mouth turn up as he grins mischievously.

Kregarn urges you onwards.

You laughingly say, "I would happily listen to you both talk until I myself turn
into a spirit!"

Lira the Songstress gives a trillingly melodic laugh.

Taimon of the Harmony utters a deep, rumbling laugh.

You ask, "What can you two share about the Voice of Trialante? She spent time
here, didn't She? Was there anything she expressed in terms of... ideologies?"

The smell of wildflowers wafts past your nose.

Kregarn smiles softly.

Agreeing with Taimon, Lira the Songstress says, "Aye, such history is true." The
sileni spirit smiles bright, as she keeps her attention upon Selenity. "We never
shared ideologies, as you call them. The Voice and our clan only shared songs,
shared music."

A winged unicorn of moonfire and starlit mist stretches out his large wings,
tossing his head and shaking his mane about.

Continuing the hunt for his dark mate, Father Sun presses forward in his journey,
lowering himself in the sky yet still casting even, full light upon the land.

You see a deer wander through a clearing in the distance.

You smile broadly and say, "Ah, that's another thing. Did your clan have a name?
I feel like your clan and the Spiritsingers, we have an important connection
through the Voice of Trialante."

    Lira the Songstress shakes her head.

    Kregarn tilts his head curiously.

    The white blanket of cloud in the sky above you thickens into a heavy cover.

    The sound of shifting feathers precedes a winged unicorn of moonfire and starlit
    mist giving his wings a light ruffle. A single stellar feather gets loose and
    falls. It immediately begins to turn into tiny motes of silver and starlight,
    which float back into the unicorn's form. Before the feather has a chance to
    reach the ground, it is gone.

    A squirrel skitters through the treetops somewhere above.

    Taimon of the Harmony says, "We had no other name, or no name at all. I cannot
    remember. When the Dark Wind Zenos came upon us, we scattered like the puffs of
    a dandelion. What was once a large tribe became smaller clans."

    A hint of sorrow in her voice, Lira the Songstress says, "All lost, all faded."

    A squirrel skitters through the treetops somewhere above.

    You have emoted: Selenity frowns a little, her ears giving a subtle twitch. "I'm
    sorry," she says quietly, lowering her head a moment in apology and sympathy.

    Unblooded Kregarn Silvershield, Keep of Everiine says, "Could you... share a
    song with us?"
    Taimon of the Harmony says, "As a child I was told that my music manifested
    early, for all I did in my mother's belly was dance! Nonetheless, I found my
    study to join the Harmony challenging beyond anything I had known before, and
    felt greatly blessed when I was initiated."

    Lira the Songstress says, "A song?"

    Taimon of the Harmony says, "A song?"

    Kregarn nods his head emphatically.

    You nod your head affirmatively.

    Together, they ask - in almost anxious exclamation: "A song?!"

    Unblooded Kregarn Silvershield, Keep of Everiine says, "I bet Selenity would
    share hers."

    You say, "I would love to hear one, if you had one to share."

    Unblooded Kregarn Silvershield, Keep of Everiine says, "In trade?"

    You smile broadly and say, "I would indeed trade a song for a song!"
    Taimon of the Harmony says, "As a child I was told that my music manifested
    early, for all I did in my mother's belly was dance! Nonetheless, I found my
    study to join the Harmony challenging beyond anything I had known before, and
    felt greatly blessed when I was initiated."

    Lira the Songstress gasps softly.

    Lira the Songstress says, "Did you hear of this then?"

    Unblooded Kregarn Silvershield, Keep of Everiine says, "Hear of what?"

    You tilt your head curiously.

    Taimon of the Harmony offers an answer, "The trading of songs. It is an old
    tradition of our kind. When the Great Tribe scattered, we would find each other
    as we worked to hide from the Dark Wind."

    You blink.

    You shake your head.

    You say, "I didn't hear of it, no."

    Unblooded Kregarn Silvershield, Keep of Everiine says, "But you mentioned that
    you traded songs with the Voice."
    Taimon of the Harmony says, "As a child I was told that my music manifested
    early, for all I did in my mother's belly was dance! Nonetheless, I found my
    study to join the Harmony challenging beyond anything I had known before, and
    felt greatly blessed when I was initiated."

    You nod your head affirmatively at Kregarn.

    Agreeing with Taimon's recounting, Lira the Songstress says, "Aye, and when we
    found each other, the eldest and youngest Songstress of the two clans would
    share a song."

    Kregarn grins mischievously at you.

    Birds fill your ears with serenades of happiness and love.

    Shadows grow longer in anticipation for the return of their dark mistress as
    Father Sun's chase brings him closer to the world's edge.

    Unblooded Kregarn Silvershield, Keep of Everiine says, "Funny, you have the
    youngest Songstress of the Spiritsingers right here."
    Taimon of the Harmony says, "Lira is named a leader of our people by her title,
    the Songstress. By tradition, only singers could claim this rank, but we have
    had many leaders who were initiates instead."

    Nodding at Kregarn, Lira the Songstress says, "Aye, when She stumbled upon us,
    our particular clan. We traded songs with her day long night long."

    Utterly entranced, Taimon of the Harmony emits a long "Ooooh."

    You say to Kregarn, "Second youngest. Though the Cuirr Arrane doesn't wake often."

    Utterly entranced, Lira the Songstress emits a long "Ooooh."

    "Shh!" Kregarn says to you, putting a finger to his lips.

    Unblooded Kregarn Silvershield, Keep of Everiine says, "Youngest available."

    You say to Kregarn, "... granted."

    You ask Lira the Songstress, "Then, are you the oldest Songstress of your clan?"
    Taimon of the Harmony says, "Lira is named a leader of our people by her title,
    the Songstress. By tradition, only singers could claim this rank, but we have
    had many leaders who were initiates instead."

    Lira the Songstress says, "Why, I am certainly the oldest of the clans now."

    Lira the Songstress gives a trillingly melodic laugh.

    A wry smile spreads across Kregarn's face.

    The corners of Taimon of the Harmony's mouth turn up as he grins mischievously.

    You giggle happily.

    Unblooded Kregarn Silvershield, Keep of Everiine says, "Oldest available."

    Kregarn nods his head sagely.

    Lira the Songstress says to you, "Would you like to trade then?"

    Curtseying politely, you say to Lira the Songstress, "Yes, I would, if you would
    so honor me with such."

    Taimon of the Harmony says, "The custom is very simple: the youngest sings first,
    always in respect. The oldest gives praise and sings in return."

    As the sun passes below the horizon's edge, Mother Night unveils her terrible,
    shadowy beauty, spreading darkness across the land.

    The hands on an elegant lunar watch read about half past seven o'clock in the
    evening.
    The phase of the moon is the Waning Gibbous.

    In your world, it is 2014/12/14 07:35:02 GMT and 2014/12/14 02:35:02 in your
    configured timezone.
    See HELP GMT for an explanation of GMT.

    The wind whistles eerily through the trees.

    You smile broadly and say, "Ah, and it is evening, a wondrous time for my song."
    Taimon of the Harmony says, "As a child I was told that my music manifested
    early, for all I did in my mother's belly was dance! Nonetheless, I found my
    study to join the Harmony challenging beyond anything I had known before, and
    felt greatly blessed when I was initiated."

    Readying her lyre, you ask, "Shall I, then?"

    Lira the Songstress nods her head enthusiastically.

    Taimon of the Harmony nods his head enthusiastically.

    "When the Sun goes down," you sing, as ancient harmonies rise from an ethereal
    cordate lyre of the Serenwilde.

    The spirit of one of your ancestors, hearing your song, rises from the mists of
    the past to watch over you.

    "When Darkness grips the land," you sing, mournfully playing an ethereal cordate
    lyre of the Serenwilde with deep rhythmic harmonies.

    The spirit of one of your ancestors, hearing your song, rises from the mists of
    the past to watch over you.

    "Though it may chill us, we have nothing to fear," you sing, as a silvery mist
    rises up from an ethereal cordate lyre of the Serenwilde.

    The spirit of one of your ancestors, hearing your song, rises from the mists of
    the past to watch over you.

    "Ancients of the past keep their watchful eye upon their own," you sing, while
    fae giggle along with the music of an ethereal cordate lyre of the Serenwilde.

    The spirit of one of your ancestors, hearing your song, rises from the mists of
    the past to watch over you.

    "The forest stands as one, protecting us," you sing, as joyous sounds ring out
    of an ethereal cordate lyre of the Serenwilde.

    The spirit of one of your ancestors, hearing your song, rises from the mists of
    the past to watch over you.

    "Mother Moon watches from above," you sing, as ancient, primal sounds rise from
    an ethereal cordate lyre of the Serenwilde.

    The spirit of one of your ancestors, hearing your song, rises from the mists of
    the past to watch over you.

    "And should She hide Her face to us," you sing, as an ethereal cordate lyre of
    the Serenwilde howls with ancient rage.

    The spirit of one of your ancestors, hearing your song, rises from the mists of
    the past to watch over you.

    "The Stars will always be there to Guide us," you sing, playing a rousing march
    on an ethereal cordate lyre of the Serenwilde.

    The spirit of one of your ancestors, hearing your song, rises from the mists of
    the past to watch over you.

    "We shall never be lost in the Dark!" you sing, as the rhythmic melodies of the
    seasons ring from an ethereal cordate lyre of the Serenwilde.

    The wind whistles eerily through the trees.

    You have emoted: Taking a hold of the skirt of her dress, Selenity dips into an
    elegant curtsey before Lira and Taimon, having finished her song.

    Lira the Songstress claps her hands together merrily.

    Taimon of the Harmony claps his hands together merrily.

    You slow your playing of your instrument, and the sound of your song diminishes
    until the music is too quiet to be heard.

    Kregarn gives up a round of applause.

    Lira the Songstress says, "That was lovely, dear elfen. Truly."

    The wind whistles eerily through the trees.

    Across the heavens, the stars and moon challenge night's dark reign, revealing
    familiar constellations that tell the tales of myth and legend.

    Cheerfully, you say, "Thank you, kind Songstress. I am glad you all enjoyed it."
    Taimon of the Harmony says, "Lira is named a leader of our people by her title,
    the Songstress. By tradition, only singers could claim this rank, but we have
    had many leaders who were initiates instead."

    Tilting her head a bit skyward, Lira the Songstress says, "Shall I begin then?"

    You nod your head emphatically.

    Glorious grey wings arch behind Kregarn, wrapping themselves about him with
    iridescent feathers glimmering with starlit silver.

    Kregarn tilts his head and listens intently to Lira the Songstress.

    You have emoted: Selenity gives her full attention to Lira the Songstress, her
    pointed ears twitching as she listens.
  • SelenitySelenity My first MC to stay in Serenwilde
    Taimon of the Harmony raises his flute to his mouth and begins to gently blow.

    The sudden spurts of sound - quick and sharp - fills the air as Taimon plays.
    Lira allows the tune to play for a moment, letting the song crescendo and strain.

    Finally, in a sweet voice, Lira the Songstress sings "Have you heard the heather
    grow?"

    Lira the Songstress sings, "Lavender - a coloured hue,".

    Lira the Songstress sings, "I shall keep a sprig close to my heart,".

    Lira the Songstress sings, "For me to remember you."

    Lira the Songstress sings, "And when the sun dips beyond the sky,".

    Lira the Songstress sings, "And shadows sweep and sway,".

    Lira the Songstress sings, "And you flee like the swiftest breeze,".

    Lira the Songstress sings, "This humble flower against my breast,".

    Lira the Songstress sings, "Shall bless and honour this day."

    The wind whistles eerily through the trees.

    Lira's voice and Taimon's music blend and merge in delicate harmony, conjuring
    the sounds of a time long ago. As the Songstress finishes, she presses her hands
    against her chest, a pleasant smile upon her face.

    Kregarn gives up a round of applause.

    You have emoted: Selenity gasps softly and smiles warmly, clapping politely for
    the two sileni spirits.

    The white blanket of cloud in the sky above you thickens into a heavy cover.

    Midnight shadows coalesce around a new day, and Mother Night embraces the land
    in utter darkness.
    It is now the 25th of Avechary, 400 years after the Coming of Estarra.

    You smile broadly and say, "That was beautiful. Thank you for sharing it with me,
    with us."

    Her smile growing softer and softer, Lira the Songstress says, "I heard that
    song once, long ago. It was a trade too. A trade from another clan."

    Kregarn nods his head emphatically.

    Taimon of the Harmony puts his hands on his hips and goes "Hmmm!"

    Unblooded Kregarn Silvershield, Keep of Everiine says, "I can only imagine the
    songs that you all know, having traded them so often."
    Taimon of the Harmony says, "As a child I was told that my music manifested
    early, for all I did in my mother's belly was dance! Nonetheless, I found my
    study to join the Harmony challenging beyond anything I had known before, and
    felt greatly blessed when I was initiated."

    Taimon of the Harmony says, "Perhaps, Lira, perhaps the Spiritsingers will be a
    new clan for us to keep our traditions alive?"

    Kregarn tilts his head curiously at you.

    Lira the Songstress gives Kregarn a sunny smile. Upon Taimon's suggestion, she
    snaps her head to him. "Oh, that would be a glorious thing, wouldn't it?"

    You smile broadly and say, "We would be honoured, if you would let us."

    A winged unicorn of moonfire and starlit mist stretches out his large wings,
    tossing his head and shaking his mane about.

    Lira the Songstress claps her hands together merrily.

    Taimon of the Harmony claps his hands together merrily.

    Kregarn gives the world a thumbs up.

    You say, "We Spiritsingers are blessed with Song by the Voice of Trialante
    Herself."

    You laughingly say, "She resides within our Treehouse, actually. Of Her own
    volition, of course."

    Lira the Songstress nods her head emphatically.

    Lira the Songstress says, "We know, we hear Her still. Her voice travels far and
    wide."

    The corners of Lira the Songstress's mouth turn up as she grins mischievously.

    The corners of Taimon of the Harmony's mouth turn up as he grins mischievously.

    Kregarn blinks.

    Your mouth turns up as your face breaks into a smile.

    You smile broadly and say, "I think I would like to bring the art of song-
    trading to the Spiritsingers. I will endeavour to trade the song that has been
    traded with me, with them, so it may live on."
    Taimon of the Harmony says, "As a child I was told that my music manifested
    early, for all I did in my mother's belly was dance! Nonetheless, I found my
    study to join the Harmony challenging beyond anything I had known before, and
    felt greatly blessed when I was initiated."

    Lira the Songstress taps her finger and gestures at Taimon for silence. The male
    sileni nods his head. "That would be wonderful," Lira says, her focus back upon
    Selenity again. "Wonderful and heartening. Our traditions will be alive once
    again, no longer simply in our memory, but lived out by the Spiritsinger clan."

    You nod your head enthusiastically.

    Kregarn tilts his head curiously as he inquires, "May they come back to you both
    and trade other songs in the future? I know you can't always respond when we
    poke at you but, would that be alright with you if they returned for more?

    Kregarn coughs softly.

    Taimon of the Harmony nods his head enthusiastically.

    Lira the Songstress exclaims, "Of course!"

    Ever attentive and enthusiastic, you ask, "Are there other traditions you would
    have, want, us to continue for you?"

    Comprehension flashes across Kregarn's face.

    Showing that he understands, Kregarn nods his head slowly.

    Bursting open, the clouds in the sky release a light pitter-patter of rain.

    The howl of a distant wolf momentarily silences the crickets.

    Thoughtfully, Lira the Songstress says, "Oh, that may take some time to think
    about, dear elfen. Death and time are not friends to memory."

    Kregarn chuckles long and heartily.

    Taimon of the Harmony exclaims, "Aye, but if we recall them, we will share and
    trade. Like songs and music!"

    Kregarn nods his head emphatically.

    You smile happily.

    The wind whistles eerily through the trees.

    The last vestiges of midnight shadows flee as Mother Night hides herself from
    the luminous arrival of her shining mate as he chases her across the bowl of the
    sky.

    You smile broadly and say, "We will eagerly await that, then. The Spiritsingers -
    and myself, too - are very grateful for your kindness and eagerness, both of you."

    Lira the Songstress says, "And we are grateful too, for remembering us both."

    Taimon of the Harmony exclaims, "Aye aye!"

    recorded history of the Spiritsingers. I'm not sure why it wasn't there already. But it will be. :))
    You nod your head emphatically.

    You smile broadly and say, "I will see to it that your names are written and
    kept within the recorded history of the Spiritsingers. I'm not sure why it
    wasn't there already. But it will be."

    Unblooded Kregarn Silvershield, Keep of Everiine says, "Thank you both. It was
    an honor to speak with you."

    You say, "It was an honour, a great one."

    Taimon of the Harmony says, "And an honor to speak with you, dear dwarf."

    Silent leaves at the centre of the glade.
    A mature hornbeam tree stands proudly here. Overrun with interwoven vines and
    tiny, pearlescent flowers, an ancient cairn lies here. Shrouded by an aura of
    mist and modulating stars, a winged unicorn stands here with a serene
    countenance. Marked by a band of white feathers, a young eagle awaits its prey
    here. Hands clasped demurely before her, Lira the Songstress floats here
    patiently. Bearing a ghostly pan flute in his six-fingered hands, Taimon of the
    Harmony floats solemnly just above the ground. Half-buried in the earth, a
    battered copper chest lies here. Unblooded Kregarn Silvershield, Keep of
    Everiine is here. He wields a simple glaive of wood and iron with both hands.
    You see a single exit leading west.

    Taimon of the Harmony beams broadly.

    You smile broadly and say, "I should have something written up in the next month
    or so. It won't be long."

    You say, "We look forward to seeing you again and trading more songs!"

    Kregarn taps his closed fist on his chest, an sign of honor to the sileni
    spirits.

    With a graceful step back and a sweeping bow, you play a complex sequence of
    notes. Pale images of ancient spirits fill the air briefly, their voices
    harmonizing with the song.

    Lira the Songstress says, "A wonderful honour, aye." With a smile, the sileni
    gestures a wave. "Until we meet again, clanswoman and clansman."

    Waving enthusiastically, you say, "Until we meet again!"

    Unblooded Kregarn Silvershield, Keep of Everiine says, "Rest well, Clanswoman
    and clansman."

    You say, "Rest well and spirits keep, Lira the Songstress, Taimon of the Harmony."
    Taimon of the Harmony says, "Lira is named a leader of our people by her title,
    the Songstress. By tradition, only singers could claim this rank, but we have
    had many leaders who were initiates instead."

    Lira the Songstress waves goodbye.

    Taimon of the Harmony waves goodbye.

    Glad you enjoyed! Also, going to throw this in, my subsequent conversation with the Voice that... made Her bail...

    ~~~
    A mournful sound lingers in your ears: the delicate pitter-patter of rain, the
    breathiest of sobs.
    Her voice softening, you say to the Voice of Trialante, "I'm... sorry. Was that... You I just heard?"
    Echoes of the Voice of Trialante.
    Almost completely surrounded by vibrant, shifting greenery, this enclosed area
    is soothing and quiet, a refuge from the distractions of the surroundings. Most
    of the sounds of the forest feel distant here, though the tinkling of streams
    and the chirping of birds somehow filter through the surrounding soft walls of
    foliage. Within the protective enclosure, songs and other pleasing sounds repeat
    in soft, muted echoes, creating a gentle cadence with their own reflections, in
    a tempo that matches the rhythms of the forest itself. Covered in bone armour,
    watching you warily, a silver-furred vixen sniffs the air. A steady cadence
    fills the air here, gently keeping rhythm with the beat of the forest. A sigil
    in the shape of a small, rectangular monolith is on the ground. Shrouded by an
    aura of mist and modulating stars, a winged unicorn stands here with a serene
    countenance.
    You see a single exit leading south.
    The disembodied voice of Trialante floats through the air, her steady cadence
    filling one with vivid imagery of the Great Spirits and disjointed scenes of
    times long forgotten. The air around the area crackles faintly with the power of
    the music floating out from the spectral voice, sweet songs drifting in and out
    of hearing range as the music ranges fully along the musical scale.
    The Voice of Trialante looks to be crushingly strong.
    The cadence of the forest around dimming to a subtle hush, the Voice of
    Trialante says, "A voice?... My voice?.... yes..."
    You have emoted: Selenity covers her mouth with a hand, tears welling in her
    eyes. She approaches the disembodied voice, but doesn't draw too close out of
    respect.
    Slowly uncovering her mouth, you say, "I've... I've not heard You speak so,
    before... oh... oh this is glorious, to hear You speak like this..." Tears begin
    to stream down her face. "I... I am honoured to hear You, and... oh... so many
    questions, but they all can wait. I am so sorry for running away so quickly, for
    asking about painful memories as they've since departed."
    The Voice of Trialante swirls through the air, flickering emerald light and the
    sad song of the rains.
    The Voice of Trialante says, "... have you seen Her? Rhesileni?... My sweet
    friend..." The Voice sings this, the sound breaking like the wind billowing
    through leaves, crackling into a sorrowful strain. "... is She well? She... She
    is buried."
    The Voice's viridian glow deepens to moodier shades of emerald, drifting around
    Her like pregnant clouds about to break.
    Softly, you say, "You... I've heard, You called Her Your Sister. She did
    splinter in the sileni kind, and I have heard... have heard they are extinct now.
    But two of their souls live on in the Glade of Hifarae, and told me... told me
    they spent great times with You, trading songs and singing with you."
    At the remark of 'sister,' the Voice vibrates into sound: the shriek of
    lightning, the music of a rainstorm. A palpable sadness presses against your
    skin, as if raindrops fell from the sky, breaking through the canopy above. But
    there is no rain. No storm. Just the Voice's music and affect. "My Sister... yes.
    ... She is Two now... the hands of sweet Kiakoda shepherding Her away..." the
    Voice sings.
    Returning to the pitter-pattering drone of a soft rain, the Voice of Trialante
    says, "Where are the holy groves...? Do others sing still... no... buried. Like
    My sister..."
    Her voice barely audible as the pain the Voice sings of takes its toll, you
    whisper, "Taimon. Lira. Do You remember them? They remember You. They remember
    singing with You."
    Corbeau, dismal and dark, envelops the Voice: a sure sign of sadness.
    Softly, like the croon of a frog seeking her lost mate, the Voice of Trialante
    says, "My sister... shepherded away... I say with Her, yes. Those long, long
    days."
    You say, "Though their bodies have moved on, their spirits still live within the
    Glade. They are still there..." She begins to hum a tune, sure to be familiar to
    the Voice. "They... they traded a song with me... perhaps it is one You heard
    from them... perhaps, You will remember."
    The music of the Voice, Her cadence of the storm, grows soft and hushed - as if
    ready to listen to you.
    Carefully playing the notes on her lyre, you sing, "Lavender - a coloured hue."
    You sing, "I shall keep a sprig close to my heart."
    Closing her eyes part way as she sings, you sing, "For me to remember you."
    You sing, "And when the sun dips beyond the sky."
    A distant, sad smile on her lips as she continues, you sing, "And shadows sweep
    and sway."
    You sing, "And you flee like the swiftest breeze."
    Clutching her lyre to her heart, you sing, "This humble flower against my breast."
    Finishing the song and lowering her lyre, you sing, "Shall bless and honour this
    day."
    Brightening, as if the sun were banishing the darkness of a storm, as if sorrow
    slips away from a good memory, the Voice's light and hue shifts from corbeau to
    something lighter. She rises too, rises higher into the sky - into the canopy
    above, dispersing into the branches. "An... answer song..." the Voice sings.
    Humming with the sound of the wind the Voice of Trialante, sings, "Liking her..."
    The Voice of Trialante says, "... because of all her... womanly charms... and I
    gift..." The green deepens, darkens taking an altogether different shade. A
    delicate purple. "... her the sweetest-smelling heather."
    All the greenery, from the canopy above, to this emerald refuge, becomes aglow
    in shades of violet. "Such a mindset rages in me..." sings the Voice still, Her
    sound like the warmth of the sun, like the passion of a young longer.
    "Forgetting - all else but her..."
    "Verdant queen..." the Voice hums, Her disembodied presence filtering down,
    becoming something cohesive once again. "And though I long... to taste the apple-
    hue..."
    Whispering in the most intimate way, the Voice of Trialante says, "Of her lips...
    I must scatter into the winds..."
    With that, the lavender colour of the space recedes, returning all to the
    emerald of the forest once again.
    The Voice of Trialante spirals through the air, settling down once again to her
    usual spot.
    You have emoted: Selenity listens to the Voice of Trialante sing, her cheeks
    taking on a faint pink hue at the sung words and the emotions behind them. She
    only manages after a long silence, "Beautiful..."
    Motes of light flash through the air, fading like a happy dream.
    Attempting to regain her composure, you say, "Oh... Oh Voice... if... if You
    could... just share with us Spiritsingers... what is it that makes You so kind
    as to share Your gifts with us, through the Wild Arrane... lessons... guidance...
    " Her body taking on a tremor, she says mostly to herself, "Oh Gods, I did... I
    did not prepare myself for the chance You would one day respond to me talking to
    You..."
    Like a lonely bird, the Voice of Trialante sings, "... Guidance? I guide?... I
    sing... like a bird, like a sparrow, I away to think..."
    The steady cadence of Trialante fades away as the disembodied voice leaves into
    the trees.
    You still hear Her voice - birdsong calling to meet the day - and you wonder,
    you wonder if She has truly gone to think.
