that's what I want to do. Ideally in a manner that fits xeria's narrative so far.
Honestly, most people probably don't know Xeria's narrative so far, and won't know or care what you're doing differently. Trouble is those that do know are likely the ones you're most concerned about being weirded out by the change. From a player perspective, I know how you feel about wanting to reboot. Tarkenton gave me the same advice, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it, and I also didn't know what I wanted to reboot into. Lucky for me I had a few key characters nudging Daraius towards a change, and then a fairly huge event to catalyze it. Still don't know where I'm going, but it's been fun.

I say go for it, @Xeria. Honestly it's been so long since I last played Sylandra that I have no idea what I'm doing. So, I'm just playing in the way that is the most fun for me. And that seems to be working!
I firmly believe that in a game, if the game isn't being fun for you, you're allowed to find ways to make it more fun. If that means your character won't focus on an old aspect of who they were, that's perfectly fine. No one is going to call the Roleplaying Police on you and have them be like,"We have you surrounded! We are revoking your roleplaying license!"
Basically, the stakes are super duper low. Go wild. Have fun. Enjoy your text game adventures!
"Oh yeah, you're a naughty mayor, aren't you? Misfile that Form MA631-D. Comptroller Shevat's got a nice gemstone disc for you, but yer gonna have to beg for it."
That moment where you thought you logged off and go walk your dog then when you get back see no you were not only still logged in, but the admin did event stuff in that room while only you are there.
Whoops. Sorry, I didn't even realize I was still logged on! Thankfully others ran in to pick up the event slack.
"You are so much bigger than you think you are," She says, fervently. "You are a beacon of hope that shines through the world with every step you take. You are My beacon, Gabriella, and you shine even into the darkest of nightmares."

The air sparkles with silver motes of light as a silken voice says, "You will see growth and strength where others will see weakness. You will walk with Us as a paragon of Serenwilde's power, for you have already walked this path before."
They're just suggestions, don't pay any attention to them if you don't like them.

Go poke around Tosha for example lobonames that are better than namegen, if you haven't already. There's aren't a huge number of them there, but it'll give you something to go off of.
Any sufficiently advanced pun is indistinguishable from comedy.
All the races' namegens are pretty ridiculous 90% of the time, but you can usually get a pretty good idea of what patterns they were going for by looking at them. Or just brute force it until you find one you like. Might want to go around and check out whatever Loboshigaru denizen names you can find if you're still feeling stuck.
I'm pretty sure there's only like ten named loboshigaru denizens and most of them are in the monastery, so you definitely ought to go meet them. With some exceptions, lobo names tend to have two syllables, liquid consonants, middle and low vowels, and velar stops (k's and g's).
Your name is now Quetika, Pita, or Kekeke. All three from male lobo namegens.
BRB, making an male orclach with the name Roarz. Hey, if it's found in Namegen, I can use it.

In all seriousness this is probably the Illuminati screwing around in the ministry of information, I was assigned the wrong name tag after being released from the portal.
Freakin' Gaudiguch.

xeria would slowly forget details of past events and eventually the event itself.
much the same way, a person forgets his childhood except for the broadest details.
that's what I want to do. Ideally in a manner that fits xeria's narrative so far.
Never had much of an issue, though I usually accompany it with an orghop.
