Thanksgiving Giveaway

Yes I know that Canadian thanksgiving was last month and USA thanksgiving is not for a few more days, but I'm still doing it, so neener-neener!

I have one copy of the following games each that I am going to GIVE AWAY ONE GAME EACH to four different individuals:

Why am I doing this, you may be asking yourself?  BECAUSE I FEEL LIKE IT.  Seriously though, some of the games don't take my fancy, others don't work on my rig, others I already own.

Now, how to enter:

Simple.  Reply in this thread and tell me, in 50-200 words, something that you are thankful for, whether it be IRL or in-lusternia that has happened this year (must have happened after January 1, 2014)

All are welcome to enter, whether it be admin or player alike.  

Entries close on Friday November 28th at 11.59pm Pacific Time and winners will be announced no later than Saturday USA time.

Disclaimer: Games are given as-is and will be distributed as STEAM codes, by participating you imply that you have already installed or have no problem with installing steam on your computer and that your computer is capable of running the game/software that is claimed. RPG Maker XP requires a 32-bit Windows OS and will NOT operate on a 64-bit OS.  My decision on winners is FINAL, no correspondence will be entered into, prizes are non-returnable once claimed (though winners can obviously swap codes among themselves as they please) One entry per person, attempted entry using multiple accounts will result in disqualification.  The right to alter the conditions of entry is reserved in its entirety by myself without notice.  Entrants must have made a minimum of ONE POST on the forums PRIOR TO November 23rd 2014.

Selenity

Friends. If there is anything I have learned in the last year, it's that I'm thankful for friends. I have been in some really dark places this past year where I turned to people I should be able to rely on, my family, and discovered they were not willing to be there for me, not that they couldn't, just that they wouldn't. When I was scared, when I was alone, when I was thinking some terrible, terrible things about life, my friends were there for me, if even only in spirit or electronically. These same people I had called "people I know online," but after all I've gone through in the last year, I'd learned they're not just some people online. If they're willing to get on the phone with you at three in the morning and tell you that things will get better, that you shouldn't give up on yourself if not for yourself, then because they haven't given up on you, and that you should try to do what makes you happiest instead of bending to the whim of everyone else in your life to make their lives easier, they're friends. And I probably wouldn't have been here today without them.

PS: I'm alright with not getting any of the things you listed, @Kagato. I just felt like it needed to be said somewhere and this prompt was a great place for it. Thanks.

I'm ok not getting stuff too, but I'm in the same boat as @Selenity

This year, so far, 

 -watched my little baby girl grow up into a toddler (is 1 yr now a 'toddler'? where's the cutoff? I don't know but she's definitely not a baby anymore)

 - she's walking running, communicating (not with words...yet, but pointing and feminine grunting, very classy lady)

 - had a job opportunity that required me to move across the country from my beloved Colorado to New Jersey (which gets a bad rap, it's not so bad, just very flat and wet)

 - had my wife and daughter pick up and move with me

 -bought a house in NJ that we can grow into when we have more kids (definitely a when, not an if)

 

All these things I'm incredibly thankful for. The new job allows my wife to be a stay at home mother for the time being, which is amazing to know that her development and growth is mostly her and a bit of my parenting. The support of my wife in picking up and leaving both our families behind (closest family is my grandmother, a 3 hour drive away) and the bonding that we've undergone is fantastic and I'm incredibly glad that we did this. 

It's been a really good year for me, I'm sorry for so many people that have had bad things happen this past year (including my own sister, who had a pretty terrible 2014) I've stolen all your luck.

I'm thankful for my family. No matter how hard it gets or what things happen to get us down, we always make it. When times are good, we have a lot of fun. When times are bad, we tighten up and work our humps off and we make it. It's always feast or famine in my life, but life goes on. I'm thankful for a wife that saved my life in a literal sense after my ex-wife left me, three wonderful stepchildren, and an amazing ten-month old daughter who surprises me every day with a gorgeous smile and a love for me that I can't deny.

I'm very thankful for my life, and for my health. At the end of December last year I was hit by a drunk driver while on my bike. I was in such rough shape that my mom later told me that during those first couple weeks she didn't actually believe I was even going to wake up, let alone recover.

I was out of the hospital and into rehab by early Spring, and back in my own home by Summer. But I only really started feeling like I'm getting up to speed since about September. I still hurt, and I still have a lot of medical issues from this. But I can actually walk unaided now, along with a lot of other stuff I used to take for granted, like even getting myself out of my own bed. That might seem like really simple things, but I'm really thankful for it all right now.

What I'd like the four of you to do is have a look at the list and send me a private message with a list of what 4 games you would prefer from top priority to 4th, if 2 people choose the same game, the higher priority person will get it and the lower priority person will get the next one down on their list.  I will wait until all 4 of you have sent me a PM before I dish out the games, so please try to get your list to me by Friday at the latest if possible.
