I'm a little late to the party, but I'm super glad you're doing well, and have your health again.
On whatever alts or characters, I hope I can run into you again, because you're awesome to play with. Some of my sessions with you are among my fondest memories. So I'll look forward to knowing you're around to make some new ones.
Mayor Steingrim, the Grand Schema says to you, "Well, as I recall you kinda leave a mark whereever you go."
Hi. I'm former-Zouviqil. And uh. I've been gone for a long time. Some of you thought this was because I was trying to make an impossible book. Nope! Some of you thought it was because I was mad/upset with someone(s)... nope again!
If any of you are wondering what's happened since my departure... let's start with the basics.
I left because my eyesight got worse and I found out my sister and her 5 children all had Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. I do indeed have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, type four / vascular type, just like my sister and nieces and nephews do. My eyesight getting worse isn't a matter of a prescription change, either. I've lost some of my periphereal (sp?...) vision and my retinas are thinning out. Reading the scrolling text in Lusternia was giving me literal headaches. Like. Full-blown headaches. Since I've left, I've made newbie characters that never make it past Newton because I've been testing to see if I can handle the scrolling text. The last time I checked was like a month or so ago. I couldn't then. (Edit: Some of you might see me on League of Legends, but even then, I have to cap my FPS to 40 FPS or else I get a headache + nauseous... same thing for Minecraft.)
I've finally gotten my degree handed to me (huzzah) but am still unemployed (wamp wamp).
I got 23andMe done and threw my results to my allergist, who informed me that based off of my results, I am lactose intolerant, and have hereditary fructose intolerance. (again, wamp wamp)
Also found out I have CREST Syndrome in addition to everything else (thanks rheumatologist!) and currently am in step two of four for a root canal, and will need four more root canals after this. Though my endodontist has suggested I get another dentist to just pull the teeth out instead. I'm on route to catch up to my sister who's 5 years older than me (the one with the 5 kids) -- she's toothless!
I often think of everyone here who I used to play with, and even those who I didn't really get to interact with. I like to imagine the story lines all your characters might get into, and even read the stories you guys post sometimes. I hope you all have been doing well and have been healthy and happy and safe.
The reason I left without a word was because I didn't want to bug anyone with my problems, so I only told a couple of people and proceeded to leave after - I hope I didn't cause anyone any significant stress in so doing. I mean, I shouldn't have, I'm not really important. Which sort of begs the question why I'm writing this if I'm not important, but... yeah. I wrote this so that anyone who was curious can have their minds at ease or have their curiosity sated.
I miss a lot of you a lot more than you can possibly know, and hope for a day I'm good enough to return to play with you guys again.
