    That feels like the wrong answer...it was once said the only thign that effects the speed is CHA

    If I remember correctly (big if) I believe that your charisma is what governs how quickly you regain equilibrium when influencing.

    yep i totally defer then

    In my head the reason faelings were so amazing at influence was because they had both high cha and an eq bonus. But I suppose their cha is high enough alone to account for that, and aren't trills better anyway?

    Faeling have a balance bonus.

    Eq recovery for influencing is purely based on your charisma, which is why Tae'dae despite a malus can be really fast at their influencing attacks.
