Pun aside, apparently the machines cancel the sale if someone else swipes a card, or if no fueling begins at all within two minutes. And this problem is more common than I previously thought.
My internet is at the point that half the time I put in the QQ command, it doesn't go through < So I just ended up accidentally afking, WHILE I SHOULD HAVE BEEN LOGGED OUT, for the entire duration of my nap.
My sister has two children by two different men, and is about to have her third, by a third person. Said sister doesn't work, and is on foodstamps along with the guy she's pregnant by and living with, who is on social security. Not the "I can't find work, so I'm temporarily on foodstamps" sort of person that most people are, but the "Why should I have to work if I don't have to?" kind of person.
I jokingly asked her if she was going to get fixed this time around, and she says, "No, I know what to use."
Because it apparently worked for you the other three times.

Having grown up in a rural area with a lot of housing of the pre-manufactured type, I can vouch for the fact that this happens all too commonly. I remember at my high school grocery store job, one of the women I worked with asked to have her hours reduced from 30 hours to less than 20 or so in order to increase her benefits from the state. She had nicer stuff than I did too. She'd get pissed when she couldn't use her food stamps card to buy beer.
If i remember correctly what area of the country you are located, I imagine you also see plenty of this.
I started my job late January last year. The following April, I was supposed to get five paid vacation days; I didn't get these until late October, and since I have to file for vacation three months in advance, I couldn't use those. This February we changed employers (everyone at my site is employed by proxy), which means I only get four vacation days this year. So yay, working for more than two years before being allowed to take a proper vacation

I almost feel your pain. My job works us 58 hours or more a week, and half the people in my position have FMLA or reduced hours for some other reason. The less they work, the more I have to work. We've got 2-3 people retiring in the next few months, which means instead of the people who have been there 20+ years being the senior people, it'll be me.

Already I leave home at 7am and return soonest at 9pm, and work in 3 different buildings across town, and remotely on weekends. There is no more to give!

Eek! Take care @Drocilla, don't let yourself get burnt out, whatever happens. Last thing we want to see is you getting ill due to overworking/fatigue/stress
Kiss of the Enchantress hisses eerily, "Let them fear, and despair."
Grading final lab reports, I have a student dead to rights on plagiarism and data falsification, which means several boring hours before the honor council for both of us.
Haven't had a student that blatantly stupid but I've seen cases of individuals at higher levels trying to get away with things are not represented by the data.
As much as it is an utter waste of your valuable time, you have to excise them now. Good luck, have a beer when it is all said and done.
My father in law worked for the EPA in Las Vegas as a lab assistant, back in the 70s/80s. Some scientist, at the time, had him analyzing samples for something. Results weren't what he wanted? Test it again. He ended up having to run the same series of tests a dozen or so times until the data matched the hypothesis. Gogo gadget fudging?

You have no idea how violent this makes me. Not at you Tark.
Oh, I get into frothing spittle shouting matches with people about the vaccines things. Especially when they cite that as why they don't want their kids vaccinated.

The puffiness I am experiencing right now is unreal. The end of the semester is definitely not the time I want to be sneezing in violent fits.
/hugs
Are you taking anything for it? Claritin, maybe?

Last year I become the PM of projects assigned to my team (their reasoning was ``If @Delphas is the technical lead, then we don't need to assign a PM''), which was kind of great.... That two-week period when you're deploying three projects to the production environment.
