But I can't get away without contributing to this one, so I will be really boring and say that Tacita has decided she likes Morshoth because a) he published the book that made her giggle for days, even if it did then disappear and b) he helped feed her vengeance addiction.
Now go forth and be interesting again, all of you!
Tacita is Mork's wise teacher as the Grand Master in the art of Drunk-fu.
While she seems strong to her principles and stubborn in some of her beliefs, she's open and to the point. Her straight talking approach has his respect in a commune full of people who say everything but what they mean.
He's pretty sure there's a person under there, but he was so hammered the one time he found it, he doesn't really remember the details.
The divine voice
of Avechna, the Avenger reverberates powerfully, "Congratulations,
Morkarion, you are the Bringer of Death indeed."
You see Estarra the Eternal shout, "Morkarion is no more! Mourn the mortal! But welcome True Ascendant Karlach, of the Realm of Death!
Malarious finds Morkarion to be a warrior who understands his own offense, but not one who understands combat in full. His brash nature is offset by his ability to generally back it up, though sometimes his brash nature gets other people killed. He has proven to know how to use his weapons and has been a routine supporter during conflict. Mork still needs to work on his "all for Glomdoring" side and view Glomdoring for what it is, not by how Magngora defines it.
Malarious likes Mork but things he needs to be slapped into having more combat sense.
Thul is a little surprised to have woken up to find Malarious as his champion, given that his last memory of the guy was as a Ninjakari and an enemy. But Thul doesn't hold a grudge, and holds respect for anyone walking the path of the monk. The various battles at Mal's side and the levity he brings to the Glomdoring (which, privately, Thul feels is much-needed) erased any reservations the tae'dae might've had about Malarious being in the forest.
If there's any problem that Thul has with Malarious, it's that the only thing he takes seriously is himself. But that's nothing that a few well-timed quips can't help, right?
Gosh, the only things I have to say about the Gloms that are filing the thread are that Lillie's pretty terrified of them all, particularly Celina and Rancoura (though they're was some interesting RP between Lillie and the latter).
Well, Morkarion gave me a good chance to snap at someone a while back, since he tried speaking to Lillie on the night of a full moon, when Lillie is at his boldest.
Everiine gained a ton of respect when he made a good post about the Serenguard, and now Lillie wants to do the same (when my computer gets fixed).
The Necromentate's mind opens to you, and a grotesque, demonic figure appears in your mind's eye, screaming in torment: "THE DEMON LORDS CAN NEVER TRULY BE KILLED - GREAT IS THEIR POWER."

Ev is excited to see some enthusiasm for traditions present in Lillie. He hopes that it doesn't cause burnout, though. Lillie is awfully soft-spoken, it seems, and Ev worries that Lillie will get steamrolled by apathy.

Hmmm...okay.
Tacita is Celina's former nemesis of sorts. She was fairly irate when she returned to find that, as Celina saw it, Tacita had seduced Sidd and stolen what was hers. Celina gleaned from their various conflicts and other events that Tacita was a deeply emotional being, which irritated her even more. She could not understand why her partner in warfare would leave her, inactive or not, for a girl who was unable to defend herself. Celina suspected there was more to her, or at least she suspected others saw or thought there was more to her. When Tacita ascended to CL, Celina thought it was going to be a complete disaster. She immediately put up a wall when speaking with Tacita about Commune affairs, assuming they would never agree on anything. Celina was a practical fighter who turned away from emotions, and Tacita was practically ruled by them. Though she'd never admit it out loud, Tacita kept Celina off balance through most of her tenure as CL. She surprised Celina repeatedly with her methods and perspectives. Eventually Tacita divorced Sidd which sent Celina into a rage, that Tacita had the audacity to take what was hers then discard sent her over the edge. It presented Celina a confusing situation. On the one hand Tacita wept and cried over it, something she would never do and something she thought made Tacita look pathetic, but on the other, she understood it was genuine emotion and she had the ability to break herself and the person she loved for a greater goal. To Celina, it seemed as though Tacita had the rare ability to separate herself from her position. She has a unique approach to Dark Regent, but Celina was surprised it was not Tacita's emotions that dictated her stances on matters. Celina believed Tacita had the ability to become one of Glomdoring's great leaders in time, to rival even Talan which was, to Celina, a near impossible height to achieve. Believing this, and starting to see that Tacita eclipsed Celina in many ways (Though Celina always reminded herself that she could still kick her ass), Celina backed off the uber aggressive approach to Tacita's leadership and even had a somewhat begrudgingly amicable political relationship. Even going so far as to work with her to scream some sense into Sidd when he needed it. Things went well for a long while, but Celina began to notice the internal struggle Tacita was having and that she was starting to crack. Her emotions were so much a part of her, much to Celina's disappointment, that shelving them all the time for Glomdoring was wearing on her rapidly. Which lead to Tacita's eventual stepping down and then. She's kept her distance since Tacita wed Xenthos, whom she has a great deal of ire for, and the Xynthin debacle.
Morkarion is a young up and comer with an enormous amount of promise, but an even bigger mouth and head. She generally attributes is utter lack of political ability to being an orclach. She believes the new generation of Gloms, who she believes has turned out spectacularly, have been fawned over and lauded a bit too much, and that compounded with Morkarion's Magnagoran attitude and the ego he seems to have gained from being successful there, she gets irritated by him. He's come remarkably far in such a short time in Glomdoring, but still a long way to go. She is also uncomfortable with his worship of Morgfyre that he lets slip out on occasion, and suspects a misguided understanding of Glomdoring. He also retains his Magnagoran name, and as her typical stance of the world is black and white, Glomdoring or not Glomdoring, she believes his loyalties remain somewhat torn or at least not entirely aligned with Glomdoring as they should be. Though he has thrown himself into the fray and is always willing to defend or brawl, which she respects and believes will take him far if he can learn to be more political than a brick. She believes even the best fighters need to be able to navigate the politics of Glomdoring, especially those on the Court, and those that practice the ways of Mother Night need to be more than meatheads. She sees him as a rising star of Glomdoring, but one who has a long way to climb.
Celina was one of the ilk that lead [among many things] to Mael leaving the Glomdoring, in his mind a shameless warmonger not fit to live in the refined, subtle, manipulative Glom that he grew up in [read: romanticizes]. And now that she's across enemy lines [and so frequently seems to harass his beloved Shee-Slaugh nieces and nephews] he has an added patina of distaste for her.
On the other hand, there is somethingly grimly comical about her that he can appreciate. Some cosmic joke hidden in 'the Heartless' that lends him to believe its a bit more act then she's letting on [something he's well acquainted with]. She also tells a not unreasonably good bad joke.

Skye is pretty relieved that Maellio exists. He's not so comfortable in Hallifax with all the uppitiness, but being able to chat to the CL served to relax him a bit. What's more is that Maellio was a lot less uptight in conversation that so many of his citymates, so that was great. Additionally, Skye has heard good things about Maellio from Eliron, so Skye is very interested in learning more about him, and perhaps getting more opportunities to talk with him.
Somehow over the past years with everything that happened, Skye became someone that Tacita trusted implicitly - to the point that she would basically tell him anything. He probably hasn't wholly realised, but the fact that whenever she comes to see him she often ends up venting at him about all the things she can't tell anyone else should be a good clue.
Even though a part of her thinks he was bonkers to support Xynthin right to the end, after what Xynthin did to Nocht, she's still partly jealous that Skye was able to take his side - and also very grateful. Even with everything that happened, she likes to think that Skye was there for Xynthin when she couldn't be. It does have the side effect that seeing Skye reminds her of Xynthin and makes her unquestionably sad, but she's making a concerted effort not to just be massively down in the dumps every time she goes to see Skye.
He also owns a bar, which is totally a reason to like someone.
(And she's totally convinced that he'll be back in Glomdoring eventually )
Tacita was, for a very long time, the niece Mael never saw much of outside of revolts, being greeted as 'Silly Uncle' before inevitably losing an ego battle to someone or another. It was only really after the Xynthin debacle started [and slightly more after he'd earlier been reintroduced into the Shee-Slaugh] that he really got reacquainted and went into full uncle mode.
And while he wasn't able to offer nearly as much assistance as he could, he did try to keep her in the loop through the mess of it. It was a bit bittersweet for him, even ignoring the context, as he knew if things shifted even slightly he'd sacrifice that familial tie once more for the Collective if required. And in recent history that feeling has come back with him in the uncomfortable position of seeing Glom becoming more and more antagonistic to Hallifax [in his perspective]. Though it does lend to him cherishing those moments he can still act like an uncle to her while he can [publicly anyway]

A long time ago Skye just respected Tacita. He didn't know who she was, since she wasn't really active when he was first was, but after he came back from sleeping forever, she was big and prominent and seemed like a solid communemate. As he spent more time with her (and became a guildmate) he came to respect her tremendously, growing the point of just feeling very comfortable about her and willing to be all friendly, etc. During one such relaxed exchange, though, she got mad and after that he was sort of scared of her and really preferred to just keep out of her hair, trying to just be polite and business-like when they did cross paths.
During the Xynthin course of events, though, Skye began thinking of Tacita as being less indoctrinated to the cause of Glomdoring purely for the sake of loyalty. Since Skye valued parts of Glomdoring, but was not strictly loyal to the forest itself, he really liked seeing her, shall we say, show of independent thought, as well as her capacity for emotional depth. After that, he really liked Tacita as a person in general, happy that she is an honest person.
In most of the conversations since that time, though, he has felt a little cornered whenever she's around. He likes her a lot, but often it feels like the conversation is heavy, and as good as his intentions might be, he always feels like he fails to say any of the right things. Perhaps, too, there is some residual tentativeness about being too casual with her. At this point, then, he really likes her but is conflicted about how to interact with her.
He does love that she comes to visit him fairly regularly, and he really appreciates it; she's one of only a few people in Glomdoring he still talks with.
Skye, while not really a known element, intrigues Mael from the tiny bit they've talked so far and understands why Eliron mentions him so highly. Though he's also more interested by some other comments Eliron's made about him that have yet to be proven and certainly incline him to more investigation.

Allyrianne just knows Maellio as the Magistrate. She's only ever heard him briefly over the city aether. She does appreciate his prompt response to her letter, but she's far too shy to ever try to approach him in person, and she'd have absolutely know idea what to talk about if she ever did encounter him.
Although so far her encounters with people she doesn't know how to talk to have led to some pretty interesting conversations, so it could be fun.
Portius is extremely fond of Allyrianne. She wrote for his library without needing to be prodded, which would endear anybody to him. Even beyond that, she advanced within Isune's order in what seems like record time, and has shown herself to be an eager and competent worker for the Hallifax.
At a more personal level, Allyrianne seems to be the most rational artist that Portius has ever met, and he finds that to be fascinating and somewhat attractive, even if he'd rather not admit that in public.
Any sufficiently advanced pun is indistinguishable from comedy.
Portius was - and still is, really - one of the most promising little Windwhispers that Eritheyl had the pleasure to meet and work with. While there will always be a little twinge of regret that Portius was drawn to the more scholarly side of things (unlike his fabulous girl cousin!), it really does make him happy to see that the pair of them are both filling in Isune's Grand Salon. He wouldn't have it any other way, even if that's pretty high on the List of Things Eritheyl Shouldn't Care About Anymore!
Crumkane, Lord of Epicurean Delights says, "WAS IT INDEED ON FIRE, ERITHEYL."
-
With a deep reverb, Contemptible Sutekh says, "CEASE YOUR INFERNAL ENERGY, ERITHEYL."
Portius never ceases to astound with his productivity. Running the Library and Logician, writing scholarly works, serving as Magnificus... whenever he's about Mael is inherently assured he's up to something or another for the Collective. Mael admires the sheer output Portius is capable of, to a degree of envy at times but he contents himself with being able to occasionally assist who he sees as a integral part of the Collective's culture.
Though on the reverse he does worry he spreads himself a bit too thin across many projects, admittedly with success, and hopes he doesn't snap and burn himself out.

Entrias hopes @Maellio takes his submission for "Decorum Articles" seriously, because afk starving/romping/snuggling/licking and other things have no place in the Collective.
Everiine said: The reason population is low isn't because there are too many orgs. An overabundance of gimmicks (including game-breaking ones), artifacts that destroy any concept of balance, blatant pay-to-win features, and an obsession with convenience that makes few things actually worthwhile all contribute to the game's sad decline.
Skye doesn't know Entrias all too well, but so far Entrias is one of the people in Hallifax of whom he's pretty fond. Entrias was courteous, and very helpful in getting him oriented. Probably more important was that he wasn't overbearing like some of the other people who were trying to get Skye situated. Really, Entrias really just got a lot of points for not being somebody else, but that's as good a reason for points as any, especially because anybody in Hallifax who isn't a creepy automaton is good news to Skye, who looks forward to working with Entrias in the future.

By the time I see this thread, it's up to someone Lavinya doesn't know. Hmph, hmph I say.
Lavinya knows Skye as the guy who owns the inn, who was one of those emo forest guys, but then he wasn't, so she had no reason to discriminate against him anymore.
When Lavinya married Silvanus, little did she know that she inherited Silvanus' bastard son by a dalliance with a maid from the Weeping Woman Inn.
Glick spent half his life living in squalor in the Undercity with the pariahs, begging scraps and wheedling sovereigns from those stupid enough to believe his "war veteran cripple" act. Needless to say, he was surprised when Lavinya spotted him at the Megalith and jerked him by the ear to see Silvanus.
She's taken to making him wear something besides his beggar's robes and gloves, and generally beats him if she catches him doing things unbecoming of a d'Murani, like eating rats and begging under a lamp-post. He's managed to learn a moderate amount of grammar from her, but occasionally reverts to his odd speaking patterns when she's not around!
Glick sounds like a fun character! I like that story.

Glick is pleasantly industrious and throws himself, sometimes literally, into whatever he is working on.

Glick - I don't care what he says, there is no way he is a bastard kid, because Lavinya's husband is a paragon of nobility and propriety. He just is slimy and not fabulous like her. She always found him to be a proper little underling, respectful and hardworking and polite. It's only fitting that he show his true colours as a d'Murani, and she's quite fond of him, even if he has a gross penchant for eating bugs and terrible fashion sense. She is putting all her hopes on him to be the child she and Silvanus can be proud of, because they consider all their others to be severe disappointments.
Llandros - Ohoho. Lavinya used to have an incredibly scathing opinion of him - she thought he was lazy, pompous, and had extremely poor judgement when making decisions. That he acted out of favouritism instead of following protocol and common sense. Fortunately she's forgiving, and extremely devout, trusting the faith Lord Morgfyre put in him. He has earned enough of her respect now that she is happy to be civil with him and engage in light banter even, but she still sometimes wonders what he used to smoke.
I've never interacted with Everiine that I can remember, sorry!
I feel like I might have done a perceptions on Lavinya before, but on the off chance I haven't...
Svorai's first encounter with Lavinya was in a Stewartsville revolt, a long while ago. I'm pretty sure it was peaced, because otherwise we wouldn't have exchanged words. Svorai wanted it over, and was getting annoyed with having to compete with Celest (Glom's ally at the time), let alone Mags as well. So in her typical fashion, she told Lavinya something along the lines of "It's been grand and all, but we're taking the village. You might want to go home." Lavinya seemed to take particular offense to her tongue-in-cheek remark, and snapped something back that made Svo consider Lavinya a very emotional and proud person -- and saying that, it was neither a negative or positive thought. She had no issue putting her feelings on display, which at the time felt like a sudden breath of hot desert air on a cool evening to Svo. Oh, to be so free. I'm sure the merit, cause and ramifications of Lavinya's perhaps thoughtless remark was mulled for a time before something else took up Svorai's fascination.
In public passing, she's noted that Lavinya seems to have developed into a stronger person than the one she first met, with firm opinions of the way things are. Her manner of speech speaks of restraint, consideration, and planning. Curious, curious. She wonders about her, because she's seen and heard various things that make Svo think Lavinya might be an interesting person to know. How is it that she adorns the Warlord's arm? A follower of Morgfyre, a passionate spirit, and perhaps on account of being a Nihilist - a philosophical tendency...? Sounds like a fun conversation waiting to happen. But the d'Murani feel like the Nightshades and... eh, there are conversations you relish, and there are conversations you simply endure.
Lavinya's recent request to be unenemied surprised her pleasantly, though: penned on a letter, bearing her Lord's mark, the words formal and polite. Things matter to this Heresiarch, and she makes sure people know it. She's certainly someone to watch.
Svorai is the second most important person in Skye's life, and she means the world to him. He trusts her without limitation, and she is often the one, if anybody, that he goes to if he needs to talk. She hears about every change in his life before it happens, because he'll be damned if he's going to go on living his life without her being involved in it, even if they are no longer married.
On the marriage note, he loves her deeply and very much misses what he had considered the honor of being her husband. Being a dedicated crow-at-heart, though, he refuses to let that get in the way of them just having a good, healthy relationship, and he often buries these thoughts way down where he won't notice them without provocation. He has found all possibile romances with anybody else since his with her are simply relative flights of fancy, and feels like nothing is worth really pursuing.
He admires her dedication to her purpose, and is in constant awe of all she achieves, and how she is able to keep her cool so well while doing it. Part of the reason he clings so tightly to his very sarcastic relationship with her, perhaps, is that being all buddy-buddy makes him feel a little more comfortable talking to somebody he considers so highly. Otherwise he might just drown her in awkward praises. He is at times concerned for her mental well-being, but he believes that she has lessons she needs to learn, and he doesn't want to keep her from experiencing life's toughest, because he knows whole-heartedly that she can handle it and will come out stronger because of it. He is always very happy to talk to her, and gets all warm and fuzzy whenever she comes to vent to him.

Oh gosh, Svorai. Celina has a difficult time with Svorai. They've clashed for ages it seems like, ever since Svorai was Ambassador the first time around. It comes down to, as Celina sees it, a fundamental divergence in hierarchical and structural beliefs, mixed in with a healthy dose of clashing strong personalities. Svorai, to Celina, has a strict adherance to a lawful social structure, dangerously city like often times which she rejects outright, a stark contrast to Celina's typically rebellious attitude and beliefs that the hierarchy and natural order of things should be allowed to play itself out in a more fluid, and possibly more conflict intensive way. Celina, however, does admire how seemingly effortlessly Svorai seized the reins of leadership and the confidence she projected even at the earliest stages of her time as CL. Celina's used to new leaders backing down to her aggressive nature, those that didn't usually just tolerated her methods, but Svorai's the only one that's really thrown it back in her face. She does respect Svorai's confidence in her authority. Where those before her were more mediators, Svorai has really stepped forward as a singular authority figure that views the Court as advisors more than a ruling council when important decisions are being made. She has exercised her authority, to great success, in managing the forest's direction after the bottom fell out of the Equinox.
Celina suspects Svorai hides a bit of her capabilities, or maybe isn't completely aware of her full potential as a politician. The way in which she's directed the forest without a peep from the more fringe or rebellious members (save Malarious, but when is Malarious not peeping constantly) is pretty impressive. She seems to have achieved something very difficult and gotten all of the Court on the same page, which appears to be her page. Celina considers her a formidable presence on the political scene, for more than just her position. One she does not intend to clash with directly due to what will inevitably fall in Svorai's favour due to the influence she's displayed on diplomatic and internal affairs. In their decades of back and forth, Svorai certainly has the upper hand right now. Plus, things are turning out fairly well so Celina may fault Svorai for her methods, but she has undeniably gotten results.
The major issue Celina has with Svorai is her perspective on the Wyrd, a belief system that has become more prevalent in the past few years. That the Wyrd and Glomdoring are one in the same, somewhat abstract idealogies that the forest blindedly pursues. To Celina, it is a dangerous belief, one that distracts members of the forest from what she believes to be their strongest aspect, that Glomdoring is actually tangible through the people that make up the Commune. She also finds the whole Wyrd worship to be heretical to the purpose of Glomdoring, a view Svorai has pushed rather overtly, but because of the rising tide of popularity of this belief (or maybe an old one Celina never noticed), she's withdrawn from being one of the Court's active members.
