So, I'm not sure how he got out, 

From what I can tell, he was pitted, pfifthed and no climbing out nor any eating of earwort, tumbling anything.

How did he get out?

    Well I know climbing out of a pit used to break pfifth. So if that wasn't changed, that's half the mystery.

    Your scent showed Daebach in a room with him at the end. If Daebach is tarot it may have been empress which was hidden by Caerlyr being in a pit...

    Daebach is Glamours

     but there is a possibility that Elanorwen was Tarot, not really sure though.

    I don't think the pfifth was even applied: Caerlyr captivated just before. Unless that "PERFECT FIFTH UP" echo actually replaces the normal perfectfifth success line?
