This thread is not to rant how I want this commune back by any means. What I want to know is, where all the little tidbits of information are. Right now I am trying to figure out a somewhat general location of where this commune was located! I was always given to believe it was near Skarch but this line of thinking could be off.
I have yet to go back through old news post looking but I know the event post on the release of Ecology involved a Sun Druid, so if anyone knows that post number, please let me know, otherwise I will find it on my own soonish. Likewise Brewmeisters event post could also have some informatoin.
What I have gathered from the histories so far is this:
- Jojobo was a jungle, not a forest, a jungle.
- At least one of the its borders was a sea.
- There was a shipwreck of Mugwamps there
- The above, the Mugwamps had a traveling library with them, a LOT of history could be found in this area, the books they had were waterproof.
- Jojobo is unlike the other communes in where it is not located within the Basin, it is outside of the mountains.
- Jojobo was linked to Ethereal through the Tree of Trees.
At one time someone mentioned there were only three great trees (the 2 communes we have and acklberry nexi). Is there anything in game to prove or disprove this?
Anyone else have any additional information or even theories? I'd love to hear them!

The guardian spirit is Brother Lion, the guiding spirit may be Father Sun, but if so then it's an awkward arrangement for sure, since he was a bit loony even before Mortaldom was a thing.
It's known that the area is very much dog-eat-dog and survival-of-the-fittest.
Likely more aggressive than Glomdoring, more ruthless than Serenwilde, but probably more honest than either as well. No need to lie, just tell your enemies to their faces that you intend to tear out their throats. And do it.
To my understanding they have a spirit tree, but it was established after the first three.
Aslaran would likely be their 'spec race' if it was to be released. (I don't think it very likely or even desirable at present) Possibly with a 'jaguar warriors' theme to their warrior guild.
Special for Sun and Cat Totem: Upon gaining the Wicca Sun specialisation or Druidry Cat specialization, an Aslaran becomes an Awesome Aslaran with statistics changing by +1 strength, +1 dexterity, +2 constitution, +5 intelligence and +4 charisma. Aslaran who choose the mystic warrior path in communes, upon gaining the specialisation become an Aslaran Asskicker with statistics changing by +2 intelligence, +2 charisma, +8 strength, +5 constitution, +2 dexterity and +1 size.
Also, both Awesome Aslaran and Aslaran Asskicker gain the ability to do 90% of the target's current health in divinus damage whenever they use the GLARE emote. The target also ignites in flames and if the target dies within the next 20 seconds they have to pray for salvation regardless of their abilities or defences.
If olive oil comes from olives, where does baby oil come from?
If vegetarians eat vegetables, what do humanitarians eat?
Now an Aslaran without the herb or fire malus, that would be fearsome.
The divine voice of Avechna, the Avenger reverberates powerfully, "Congratulations, Morkarion, you are the Bringer of Death indeed."
You see Estarra the Eternal shout, "Morkarion is no more! Mourn the mortal! But welcome True Ascendant Karlach, of the Realm of Death!
"Afterwards, what first struck us was how well the jungle had repelled the attacks of Zenos. Apparently, the raising of the Maeve Consciousness and anchoring the forest through an ethereal manifestation of the Tree of Trees proved to be a very effective defense."
This point there is no nexus like what the tree trees are now. As far as I have been able to see so far in my search, there is not even a real clear time when Jojobo poofed or why.
We have had some contact with Jojobo, it's just been minimal because there's a wasteland between us and it and the basin's been pretty occupied with its own affairs. Event news 38 is when the "sun druid" showed up. Sun Fae appeared in event news 111. Sun druid might be something of a misnomer, since if Jojobo follows the pattern of the other three communes, it would probably be more Lion druid, Sundancer. But maybe it doesn't.
Edited because I found the events posts
The Sixth and Seventh Circle discussed creating another collective spirit of lesser spirits, only this one specifically made of the spirits of the trees, in order to create ethereal moorings to the forests. This would allow forests to eventually regenerate if they suffered a fate similar to Sakarich. There was a debate I didn't quite understand about whether this Tree of Trees should create moorings on the prime plane as well, but they decided against it, saying it would make the forests too vulnerable to the Soulless. Auseklis of the Sixth commented that after the war ended perhaps the ethereal moorings could be made manifest on the prime plane. He was always the optimistic one.
So presumably moonhart, ravenwood, and honeysap are the manifestations of the ethereal moorings that were grown by Glinshari, etc, after the Vernal Wars. Jojobo has, at least, an ethereal mooring like all the other communes. Whether the physical manifestation on the prime plane was ever grown is unknown.

Everyone's thinking it, I'm just the only one saying it.
You are right and maybe, people just assumed that these guys had come from Jojobo (myself included) but, there could possibly be better detail in city and commune posts that may have given these indications as well. The big cat, makes sense it would have come from the Jojobo area as it was known for its big cats though mainly the lions.
I find Jojobo to be quite an oddity honestly. It is described as a jungle yet when it goes into detail, it has savannah animals. If any part of this was ever opened you could probably except to be able to hunt monkies, florid birds, giraffes, gazelle, boa constrictors, and elephants.
Estarra the Eternal says, "Give Shevat the floor please."
