I'd prefer the laurels line to stay, for many it's a reflection of who they are/were so it's nice to have that persist and just have whatever the laurels does to honours be checked separately from the retirement line so they both sho…It would be very slightly better if instead of human you at least got your org race (halli's can flip a coin :P), you've already picked your org before you enter the intro.
Maybe even have a few lines in the intro referencing it?
