I've always supported the argument that mechanics shouldn't be put in place to nullify choices made simply because those choices become temporarily inconvenient. There's a degree of wiggle room here regarding the restrictions on buffs during Justice…

Such is the risk you take when playing certain classes. Any system we put in place or change will affect everyone equally, as with all the systems we have in place. What we don't want to do is incentivize people to play in certa…

Aquamancers have no way to pull you under water. Incidentally, you don't go under water by choice because you will take extra damage from stillwater.
The broader issue is when a regular pipe goes out (artie pipes do not go out) while the target is afflicted by aeon, adding an additional step to curing.
It's not "required." There is a difference between "serious combatant" and "casual combatant." Casuals probably won't even notice the one off incidents where their pipe goes out mid aeon.

There were several changes added including insanity gain, smob buffs, and smob invincibility timers along with the increased exp gain that aimed to address a variety of issues raised regarding raiding.
As a note, the harsh essence/xp loss doesn't do much to deter those that already choose times to raid when the risk is already low (no defenders, no discretionaries, etc.). I'm not really sure I follow the reasoning that we should keep the harsh pe…

When did we say that was our purpose in removing focus mind? I don't think we've ever stated the aim was to make PK easier in terms of required skills, knowledge, or equipment. It may become "easier" as a consequence…

if by 'defend' you mean 'explain,' then yes! I don't believe I advocated for either side. By definition logic and logical fallacies often fail to consider emotions. Logically, the civil discourse also has to account for human in…

It is a thing. Intent, tone, and source are all very important to a civil discourse. Suggestions, regardless of their validity, pass through the filter of human interaction.

Very slightly in that someone might have to let their DOR macro fire once more than someone else. Not everything is an opportunity to complain about mechanics. Enjoy the event!
If we keep the speed defence, which I don't plan on removing, it will most likely be rolled into a skill in one of the existing skillsets rather than keeping it in vials. Or perhaps we'll turn the truetime enchantment into the defense.
One of my favorite parts of the Meets is when all the players and admin introduce themselves as their character names and pronounce it totally different than what you've thought, then sometimes it takes a minute to figure out who they are because th…

I interviewed for a major promotion at my real life job last Friday to move from supporting a team of 4 territories to managing a territory of my own. Including, but not limited to, a 30% raise in my salary.

The circlet guy probably doesn't think it's pointless. As far as I know, genies and stockings don't give those out! I hope he is enjoying it, that's an exciting gift to get!

I read your posts, no need to quote it back to me! But you did state, rather explicitly, that a way to keep novices around is giving them artifacts.
