Only things I can think of that rely on the 1st of a month is just resets on some artifact timers and the sea battle for Celest/Mag. I don't see it being a 2v1 race, I'd see it as a 1v1v1 kind of deal. Sure there would be a possible team-up, but soone enough betray that to get your win.

Let me put it this way, I didn't push for Arix because I honestly believed Kistan was the most suspicious, being the only one that didn't draw attention to themselves and had zero participation.
