I'm not sure that twitches in muscular was doing anything. It's possible it just gave the same message as scabies but I didn't see any other balance loss lines.

More complicated solutions, with dodging levels you could have it progressively block the higher range affs or prevent them from being moved up one or more.
dodge level 1 10% damage reduction - no aff negation
With the change from mana/ego/power spikes to H/M/E max reductions we lose the intermediary attack of minorsixth to do more than our bashing attack but less than DC.
This does split our focus between advancing auditory, skin and musculature aff trees. Although all three use herb balance so that might help things some.
We've struggled with minor aff spam and it's a tricky line. Too much …
Since the cure blocking part is not not needed (YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) octave also increased damage of discordant chord and made it not strips the affs of the target when used.
The answer to - should we start a thread brainstorming the afflictions - is no. It's a good idea and might be helpful at some point but not this point.
I'm not too worried about it. A lot of the affs serve the same purpose so they can be combined. When the combat system is all changed up some of the affs that played to the old system won't make sense any more and would need to be removed anyway.
I would be very surprised if it turned out they were just going to wipe out all that time and effort permanently or without providing something in return. So my outrage is on pause.

Sorry, I meant that more along the lines of not having to re-code the game from scratch, not that it wouldn't be time consuming. There are 28 guilds, buckets of terts and that doesn't even include trade skills.
I'm a little late to this but I agree that with lusternian combat being sooooo complex, which is great but also a little daunting, having more explicit ab files would be helpful and while time consuming, wouldn't be terribly difficult.
