Personally i would love to see the old ideological based alliances of celest/seren and mag/glom back together and seeing how hali/gaudi work into them. Prolly celest/seren/hali and mag/glom/gaudi.
Celest has more people and are probably better organized especially since the cay quest wrecks their epic chain when it is turned to us. It's not surprising they have been coming out on top lately.
I have my own in game events planned out for the release of all future skills. They are mostly tantrum based but I have them set up mad lib style so I just plug in a few key words and hit the macro.

Magic based physical damage should bypass robes and armor. Maybe it's different for 'brute magic' but if it is I would double check that to see if it is a bug.
