I like the ascension changes. Chaotic, but easy to understand what to do. I was playing on a fairly poor phone hotspot and didn't really notice that much lag, either.
These past few days have been pretty revealing for lingering anger and ooc grudges. I'm going to take my own advice and have a few days off before I consider retiring. But this just doesn't feel like a game anymore.

1. I didn't write the helpfile. I'm not an admin. I'm not arrogant enough to pretend that those first two observations mean that my interpretation is the correct one. If you want to know for sure, ISSUE ME is still a thing.
You give a bloody ear to a metallic feathered pelican. A metallic feathered pelican takes a bloody ear into its golden, leathery beak pouch, flapping its wings vigorously and squawking.

There is no contradiction here. Anything done in-game is presumably part of your character's rp. That doesn't mean someone should be recognized for swapping trades, EVEN THOUGH it is also an in-character action. The argument is only t…
Please just take a few days off instead. Often when we're stressed or feel overly responsible for things, anything that goes wrong gets magnified and can feel like a personal attack. It's completely reasonable to want to get away from it for a while…

I don't agree with that. There's not a common definition of roleplay, or we wouldn't be talking about what it means. And the argument is not that recognize should be used for "any action taken in the game." Something another player is…

Hmm... I've never thought of D&D that way myself. When I've played it with friends(and similar games) any kind of encounter could be roleplay. Yeah, those orcs probably won't care what we have to say, but talking to them was alway…
To repeat what I've said on discord, my understanding has always been that the real point of recognize is to encourage people to keep doing something in the game that other people enjoy them doing. Anything we do in the game is done for character mo…

? PK is roleplay. If you want me to write up an essay of roleplay justification for every single person I've ever attacked or killed, I can. I won't, I mean, I do sort of have a life - but I could. It's the sort of thing I think about…

You don't have the right to get org points or dailycredits or anything else. No one in the game is obligated to indulge you in getting them. If they choose to let you, that's on them. If you can't stop someone or don't want to, that still d…

You already can do this, though I don't think recognizing people for failing in combat is necessarily a good idea. For many people, it can come across as just salt in the wounds. Personally I prefer just chatting with people on the ot…

Alright, in context I can agree with this. But I don't believe that this method of conflict is any more likely to drive people off generally than behavior I would actually call toxic - the way players are treated oocly by each other, …

So... just to comment on this, why is this considered toxic, exactly? I view it as one option for how to approach conflict (and orgcredits are part of conflict). As frustrating as Glom's denial efforts were, getting around them taught…

You've repeatedly said this thread shouldn't exist at all. That's telling everyone who did participate and offer suggestions to stop talking. This isn't even a pot/kettle thing, I was perfectly willing to listen to GENUINE suggestions…

For the record, I've seen that Trasto post and I think it makes a valid point and I can't fault anyone on SL side who feels the same way. But as far as I know it was only addressing the current imbalance, and seemed to be motivated fr…

This is what I was saying about Random Glom Newbie /=/ Zagreus. Pitting the two against each other is not 1v1 in the traditional understanding of it. I see comments made in game about the the numbers often being roughly even - from my…

Right. So you can't allow anyone else to discuss a problem that occurred in the Before Time, because it's not directly related to your narrative. If you don't like the premise of the thread, start a new one. Don't comment.

Seriously, Azula's great. I used to do the same thing myself, at just about every timequake, but it gets so frustrating. Also, yes, the inner sea deaths were part of what led to arguments about how pk status works, as I recall. So man…

No, this has happened in every conflict event. I can still remember being frustrated with Glom doing this to me every time and figuring out ways around it - when possible.

This much is accurate, and comes down to the numbers difference between the sides right now. It makes sense for IHC to do this, but the result is that even when SL has an advantage, they can't compete. They start winning, IHC calls in…

None of this leads to a solution to a problem that has occurred for years. Some of those who left were likely to anyway, given that they only started playing again right before the a-word. Some others, like myself, likely gave up on y…
