It was my indication that envoys did agree that shackles with inqui caveat would be more reasonable, and any arguments against shackles devolved into some ranting inquisition tangent. After our conversation, I went and talked to other envoys and pla…

Maybe increase the monk balance recovery proportionately; e.g., if warrior balance is 3s, then monk balance would be 4.5s. Or maybe add some limitations to the body parts that can be hit; i.e., monk cannot stack multiple wounds on the same…

I would rather you think of wounds as cumulative damage to the body part. I mean, let's think about in real life if you have this gaping wound on your arm and then someone comes with a hammer and gives it a whack, you're sure as heck going…
Regarding monks, I think it would be nice to get away from the current snowballing of momentum. It's just too rough to fight back against, and I will freely admit that I am jealous of how easy it seems…
Yeah, I tried to keep other classes in mind to the best of my knowledge when I made my afflictions, and I think BrokenLimb would still be used for things like Nihilist Sacrifice and available by calcise/dendroxin.
@Synkarin, I was thinking maybe park the baseline speed at 3s and the speed bonus might put it at 2.8 or something. You can have weapon variety if you have …

Oh, well, why do you want something more? We can tweak things up or add things if we need to, but I think the more effects you give to higher wound states, the more potential it has to be this runaway train that the victim can't overcome..…

I started thinking along these lines, having some increasing effect with wound level, but that's a pretty boring mechanic IMO and it gives you nothing to really strive for.

I deleted the paragraph before I hit the post button last night, but I wanted to suggest deleting weapon stats and just giving them all some baseline damage/speed. Then have each weapon have a unique effect, maybe like broadswords do more …

It's somewhat apples and oranges, but you'd be able to shieldstun for the prone and hack down for a free insta attempt. You can even shieldstun+impale/pinleg train. I think some people were even able to make the stun last long enough to re…
@Celina: Again, I think we can tweak all of the numbers and balance speeds and whatnot, but I'd also note that you can presently shieldstun+hit for free as a …

The thing that I had the most trouble with, regarding the bleeding and bruising mechanic, was that it seemed difficult to balance. For context, I am thinking about this from a 1v1 and group combat perspectives. In all other classes of the …
Yeah, I didn't count Nekotai Finalsting because it's slated to get changed per that Envoy report, but I appreciate your comment in that it is a frustrating kill strategy. When most of Lusternia combat is in groups, I think those types of kill m…
I'm not sure it has much to do with tenacity or willingness to compete (I'm not going to say the "b" word again), so much that there aren't many combat leaders on the North side. People tend to stand around at the ready until they are rallied to do …
I'll say that I (and others) have been waging political warfare since even before Ascension, and Celest is benefiting from that because no one else is really playing ball. When the door opened with the eaf incident, we were aggressive to secure the …
I do wish that all of the experienced and dedicated PKers would not clump into the same organization/alliance, since it inevitably turns into an unhealthy PK dynamic. But I certainly understand wanting to play with your friends and the winners (that…

If that's the case, then yeah, I think we're going to be doing a lot of Envoying to fix skills. Anyway, if everything is supposed to be in there, then I hope racial resistances are, too.
In the current pre-Overhaul system, numen gives a 50% resistance to incoming damage, completely separate from the dmp system. Making it a 4/10, which translates into +12(%)?, is a pretty big nerf. I would like numen to remain outside of the dmp syst…
I agree with everything Kiradawea said, except I think Celestines have some of the best survivability in the game given the defensive and healing skills of Sacraments. Numen is arguably the best PvE skill.
Second, to echo some of the comments above, I think your best bet would be to join a guardian or bard guild - so for Celest or Hallifax, that would be Celestines, Institute, Cantors, or Symphonium. E…
