  • A thousand credits, Enyalida, not lessons. I think the extra lesson cost alone makes it far from being an easy and cheap thing to do. I do think 500 lessons is too much. Consider these examples:

    A Celestine class-flexing into a …
  • I have to say that the cost suggested - be it lessons for switching or credits for the artifact - is quite painful, particularly when you take into account the need to learn all the new skills. I do think that you'd see a lot more use of this, and t…
  • Nah, the basic setup of the game isn't going to change that drastically. THe overhaul is changing the nature of afflictions as much as anything, and starting now will still help you learn how the game functions. The underlying system -is- going to r…
  • Thanks Rivi. I'll give this a go later.
  • Yeah, gotta be entire classes. Swapping skills around would be way too powerful. Do you really want to see warriors or monks with passive anything?
  • Serenguard culture has next to nothing to do with the skills, aside from the fact that we use them. The focus of the guild exists regardless of what exact skills we have.

I'd love to be able to flex skills a little bit between g…
  • Definitely joining the chorus in allowing at least a partial multi-class system. Not flexing, but outright jumping from one class to another, while remaining in a guild. Not entirely sure how we'd work this with the RP, but I'd have an absolute blas…
  • Yeah, focus mind/spirit both need to be LOW skills if we're going to retain them. The high cost of combat entry is a serious concern.
  • Considering that afflictions seem broken into spiritual/mental/physical I can see how focus might work. Perhaps have it cure two random levels per use? Though this is, again, a balancing act. For vitals healing, it might be nice to see things simpli…
  • I like having curios for lessons still, or at least something. Otherwise lessons eventually just sit there, unused and unusable!
  • That's another issue. Aeon should likely be the L5 affliction, rather than 4. The way certain things are building up, my gut instinct is that herb times are too slow at the moment. This in and of itself may be the crucial balance change.

    <…
  • Even with Deafness/Truehearing you are still stuck under PerfectFifth. I cannot fleeeeeee.
  • Void + Aeon is exceptionally strong, which...is making this not work so well at the moment. I'm not sure that's a reasonable pair to have in the same tree. With the level of command rejection Void offers, it may be best being an L4/5 of it's own! Pe…
  • I think we'll need to see the start of systems before we can really determine just what would be likely to get up to 5. My understanding is that if we have 3 skills causing nerves, but only one that goes 1/5, and two at 1/2, the first two could push…
  • No, and that's one thing that I've been thinking about. I haven't seen how the afflictions come in first-hand yet, and I'm seeking someone to help me with that right now. I don't think I'd want it to negate afflictions entirely, but having a chance …
  • Dodging does need adjustment. I actually like the thought of it having a chance of weakening an incoming affliction, making a 2 weight into a 1, or the like.
  • I think we need to see how Glamours and such work before we can really say. PrincessFarewell is nerfed, but it seems fairly fast, so the old 'crusader canto/princess farewell' into DCC seems viable still, particularly if you prep with a use of an ae…
  • Agreed, Synk. Let's see exactly what the curse/stat maluses do, mechanically.

My initial testing of the two shells is positive. I still want to go through and write down details. Could we possibly get the ability to look at the …
  • Iosai, whomever is hiring you is very lucky.

You know we're all very fond of you, and it does truly tear at many of us to see you departing. It's a wound rent by the departure of a friend. But I would not begrudge you in the lea…

  • I am quite happy with my Divinus whip. I find it on par with using rapiers/hammers when fighting something without divinus weakness, and notably stronger if they DO have divinus weakness. Good for Astral hunts.
  • But yeah, overall I echo the things said. Make those basic, essential to combat skills easier to attain, so that people don't NEED to trans this and that to fight. Just to get little benefits, or utility skills. The crucial stuff needs to be readily…
  • That's some of what I imagine we hope to accomplish. Lowering the entry barrier is absolutely crucial to this part of it. As far as practicing, you can. You just might have to be careful about the target.

    One thing which concern…
  • Rave for birthday spins. 40 bound credits, 13 dingbats, and 2 days of crits. :D
  • Who let the dogs out?
    (Who? Who? Who? Who?)

    I have a friend that has a golden retreiver/corgi mix. :D
  • I usually keep an anchor there. Forgot to reset it last time I went. Been too busy to gather 20 dark essence, since. (Annoying, as I did the same goof a week before!)

Anyway. I'm a naughty combatant and almost never log.
  • I need to finish that series. I have all 5 of them sitting up behind me!
  • Oh. The Cards Against Humanity thing?

(Which I have a copy of with all three expansions, sitting right behind me at the moment... >.< Where are you playing? in QUOTES 8: THE QUOTING Comment by Hiriako October 2013
  • I had quite a few shiny things boosting my family from debates, too! Also, Alary, where the hell are those from?
  • She could've had an attitude up, which also boosts the attack dramatically. In fact, that tends to have more of an effect than anything, I find.
  • Nice, not TOO long village influence. 2 hours is a good top point for those, I think. Maybe have the org in the lead win at that time? <3
