You have to consider how piercings look from another player's perspective, though. They would just see 'a stud through his right Dahlia', which would be strange.
I think the main problem would be that 'Dahlia' is not a body part, and your run-of-the-mill player will have no idea what it means in terms of piercings to begin with. I certainly didn't until seeing your picture!

Don't be afraid, it's a pretty reversible deal up to a certain point. Mine are only 1/2 inchers, but I've seen larger brought back to regular earring size with proper care.

It isn't just the target seeing 'you', the player using it also has to be the main subject of the line. So yes, in certain cases, it can be a limiting factor. All generic afflines are out, to start.
