Instead of quests required to specialize, perhaps the existing guild quests and eastereggs could be punched up some, and introduced as a way to devote yourself to the ways of a particular class. This would be a roleplaying device used to reaffirm pr…
I also find it weird is that in this coversation about moving away from guilds into a different organization, everyone treats the potential factions as a replacement for guilds. In other words, as if they were …
The only time I've really wanted that is with the -woods, because of the lore, because it changes your race, and because it's like the cavalier skillset in that it's an alternative primary. This is a comment unrelated…
What I'm suggesting isn't dividing the factions into sub-factions, it's just pointing out that a lot of what people want to keep about guilds can survive with only minor additions to the clan mechanic.
Ew, Manses. Manses are a really poor way of adding any kind of concrete flavor, because they are by nature totally and completely non-concrete. I can walk into any manse, look at all of the descriptions, and make my manse be an exact copy of t…
Would there be space (that there isn't now) for factions to evolve more organically than guilds? In other words, could it be possible (for example) for one faction in Serenwilde to develop two additional elected positions fitted to their style, whil…
Get more than 1 room away and pop veil - now the only methods of tracking your location is seek (which is basically out of the question), and bond seeking which is slow. As has been demonstrated many times in Wildnodes and forest raids, this makes y…
It would be more palatable if it was veil how veil should work: Once someone knows you're there and has already engaged you in combat, it doesn't allow you a "get out of further combat free" card, and drops briefly when you're hit by another player.
TBH the virulent option seems dead useless, if it follows all the normal rules for envenomed strikes but just doesn't require using up a tiny amount of poison. Having it on the mallet doesn't add any value to the item.
It's worth noting that 'deleting merging guilds' doesn't mean "Throw away all of your help files and lore, Shofangi - you're now part of the Serenguard deal with it".
You an never self-diagnose being disrupted, because you need equilibrium to diagnose. It may have a line, but you'll need a healer to diagnose you while you have it to learn what it is, and it won't be useful for buliding a system.
It's not any different, it's just like replacing other guild positions when they go inactive: There are powers each position has, and you need someone with those powers around. My comment was intended to point out that it's weird to portray …
I totally get that, and fully understand the process of getting a patron... but when a god goes inactive they are replaced by an active god, even though none of the relevant teachings change. Even if it were possible to do so, appointing... Auseklis…
I feel like it's really weird to frame patron status in an org as that org traveling along the same trajectory of that god, because of how much OOC necessity there is in having an active/proactive patron.
The forums (And websites, for that matter) are not all exactly the same though, they are just running on the same software. The Achaean and Aetolian forums have some plugins active that the Lusternian forums doesn't, for instance!
Going to go out on a limb and say that he was either kicked out of a guild, not allowed to classflex a guild's skills, or guildmasters voted against something he wanted.
