I got pretty frustrated at first because cmud kept crashing and crashing so I ended up ducking out without defs and just spammed butterfly. Chaos was with me!
Well potionlist was just an example. Learning planar is another one - you have to invest lessons just to properly use CT or GT. You have to invest lessons just to have the full social part of the game unlocked.
Lusternia in general has some odd and outdated limitations - such as planar for communication - which are solved by artifacts or special skills. It's artificial mechanical complexity and obfuscation and that's something games have been moving away f…
The annoying part about gold auctions is that you need the gold on hand to bid, unlike credit ones, which means if you don't win you've wasted credits at cheap prices and are stuck with the gold.

In Aetolia you can literally arenawatch people - it puts you in the arena in observer mode so you can watch people fight. If they can code it there, that seems doable here?
I remember few things from when I first played here, but the angst over choke is one of the memories that has stuck with me. I think there was an envoy report that had like...10 pages of comments?
There are so many truly wonderful, kind, generous people in the IRE communities. I am always astounded at how supportive and nice people are, and this past week has been overwhelming in how determined people seem to be to remind me that I am not alo…

For what it's worth, your presence in the city lately has been very engaging. Edit: By that, I mean, I hear you on CT or hear you mentioned in passing and it seems like you're up to interesting stuff.
Yeah, that could be a fun, immersive way to offer the same thing. Maybe have scout show 3-4 areas away, and then let the user do SCOUT <area> to get a bit of info on that area (eg expected level, aggro mobs, etc). That would require a bit of d…

Ah, yeah the AREAS command in other IREs shows a list of areas, their vnums (or mxp linking) and their suggested level. The levels aren't always the most accurate, but it's a SUPER useful way for a new player to wander about and get i…

The pathfinding here is lacking compared to other IREs. We also would benefit from the AREAS equivalent - that is very useful for people to independently explore, hunt, find new areas.
Talan just showed me how to view divine comments on prestige pieces. HOW COOL AND AWESOME that there is feedback like this. I'm so jazzed and excited. I keep falling more and more in love with the library system. It's so much more awesome than I rea…
