Adding to Xenthos' answer: Fortune Brooches all give a buff. Given that you can't turn off the stole effect, people all look like various things because you aren't going to not have a buff.
Master Brooch - Similar to the Master Crown, but for the Fortune Brooches, to have them all in one item instead of many. With a 'MASTERBROOCH STOLE <brooch|NONE>' to select which stole effect to use or none at all.

Yes, deathsight was an enchantment. The ability used to be 'deathsense' and just told you that someone died (but not location) and deathsight gave you the location, making deathsense rather useless to begin with.
