I think I'd argue that Hallifax's core rp is more along the lines of the communal search for Truth via science and art, but that it does tend to devolve into rules and decorum in the day to day rp.

Welcome! I would encourage you not to be put off by the giant Guild Overhaul thread. It's a discussion thread designed to brainstorm and take the temperature of the forum-going Lusternians, but it's not definitive that this is t…
It can be useful to see what theories people claim they're following too. I like discussion and lynch votes getting thrown around day 1, and pushing for early lynches can be a way to get information later.
Between holiday craziness and work craziness, I let a family visit sneak up on me and have been running around playing tour guide, chauffeur, and chef with few hours of down time the past weekish. This state of affairs will continue through Monday.<…

Well, I know the italicised part is completely untrue for the Symphonium, I can't really speak to the other guilds as I've never dedicated a lot of time to learning their lore. I could insert a long ramble here about the Symphon…

The main reason is likely the same as it's always been, to encourage player interaction. I know it's different for other people, but the flavour of my guild was the biggest reason I stuck around. That's what got me logging in en…
I have very mixed feelings here. I have sunk a lot of time and effort into loving the Symphonium and trying to tie it into history and lore and my gut reaction is "No!" However, I recognise that the time I've spent on the Symphonium wouldn't be poss…
I don't really understand how that's all that significantly different from replacing other guild roles when they go inactive. And, to be quite honest, I'm not sure it's a terrible thing for guilds to change Patrons periodically. It's not like a Divi…
I'm on a roughly two week trip with terrible hotel internet and crazy hours. I'm not gone gone, just probably less visible (I know I haven't been super visible the past couple weeks as it is, Hopefully after the trip I'll have more time.)
Trailing bright sparks of light, the evanescent form of a malignant dream phoenix lingers here, brilliant wings of prismatic light cascading behind her
Countless minuscule motes from the dream realm have coalesced across the form of this…
Yes Tremula, I do find you suspicious for taking second vote with no argument other than "bloodthirsty scum" and "don't pick on newbies" when there's really no reason for me to have known (or believed) that some guy who's been around as long as Synk…
I'm actually a fan of no lynch occurring Day 0 as long as there's actual discussion, voting and argument. I'm a bit ambivalent at the moment on whether that philosophy carries into a day 1 with no visible night time action. Likely some people have m…
Look, the first day we have a choice between everyone standing around lamenting the lack of information (with the occasional exception because of whacky powers that we have no way of relying on or taking advantage of)

You can regain a month of decay time per ig day that you play the instrument. I can't remember if there's a limit to how many months you can regain in one month (if there is, it's something like three? maybe?) You also can…
The last couple of months have not been going up on the first. July went up Sep 4th. I don't see the date for June, but it was also a few days past the first of August.
