Not sure what you're saying there. Do you mean bombard waves? In my experience it takes more than three individual bombards no matter how many ships you have: I think it takes five or six ships to claim in a single wave.
If you have a pyramid puzzle then you use it as you always would: PYRAMID SET in a room (such as your nexus room, assuming it doesn't have a monolith), then PYRAMID SOLVE to transport yourself to that room.
