Seriously! It's not that hard to follow. The law says "Citizens shouldn't do this." and so I won't! Even if, gasp, I personally disagree with the law! It's as if laws still apply, even when they're telling you to do things you weren't already planning on doing!

Me: Selling dingbats! Magnagoran: Pick me! I want dingbats. Me: I'm sorry, but no. It's against the law to trade with Magnagora. Magnagoran: Noone will find out! It isn't as if the Star Council can track dingbat sales. Me: Even so, I follow the law because it is the right thing to do, not because I fear getting caught. Magnagoran: But Magnagora doesn't care about trade bans. Me: That's wonderful for you. Celest does have trade bans, and I abide by them. Magnagoran: Come on, I'll pay you double. Me: No. Magnagoran: Jerk.
But a more recent one was:
Tremula: I'm a viscanti and I'm going to wander around Celest! Me: Tremula! As a viscanti, you need to be escorted by a member of the Dawn Brigade while in Celest! It's the law. Tremula: I have an escort! It's *scent* That guy. AFK at the pool. Me: They're not with you. Or paying attention. Or a member of the Dawn Brigade. Tremula: I defended Celestia! I can hug Shakiniel and she doesn't even mind. WHO ARE YOU TO CLAIM TO KNOW BETTER THAN THE SUPERNALS?!? Me: Siiiiiiigh.

Or how about I don't have scent and my escort was with me literally two minutes before you were nagging me? And before him it was Taevyn? I was literally in a holy place of worship that people take pilgrimage to? I know Celest's law, and while I applaud you for going to uphold it, see the image below. If you want me gone, move me out, otherwise I'll be happy to be less than a second's trip to the Pool to follow the combatants to where we need to go.
When in doubt, walk her through the Gauntlet and kill her if it hits her.

Dingbats are considered OOC and you can use them to purchase gifts for others
with no restrictions as well as transfer dingbats to others.
Granted, if you still don't want to trade with Mags, that's fine, but at that point it's because you OOCly don't want to, not an IC decision. Which is probably why people are calling you a jerk!

There are many IC methods to obtaining dingbats, which leads me to question said statement.
