GUN MAGES PEOPLE. Pew pew! I approve of a dedicated gun mage class. They could choose between rifles, hand guns, dual handguns, and large gattling guns. ALL orgs should have them, not just cities. Why are you dumping boring archery on us?!
You get slingshots, bows, hand crossbows and chu-ko-nus.
Forgiveness is the fragrance that the violet sheds on the heel that has crushed it.
Honestly, the best 'new archetype' level release right now would be to replace generic knighthood specs that everyone shares with unique specs for each org. Leave in Cavalier and perhaps a smattering of the old stuff as a potential skillchoice.
Nooo, final archetypes then start enhancing the existing ones with new stuff.
I also don't really get why you'd take away a unique feature of warriors (ability to choose from a selection of weapons) rather than just releasing org specific primaries if that's desired.
Org specific warrior specs would be cool for uniting guild imagery with mechanics. The big one I can think of here would be a foot halberd spec for the Sentinels so they can actually use their iconic arms.
Any sufficiently advanced pun is indistinguishable from comedy.
I just want to be LoL's Lucian or Jinx, you know? Or even Final Fantasy's Lightning and Noctis. Is it too much to ask for that?
I could always settle for reworking researchers into Final Fantasy type time mages, wink wink. Or maybe...LoL's Twisted Fate or Final Fantasy Type O's Ace.
Sometimes, I think I love LoL and Final Fantasy way too much.

come2Serenguard. We are awesomely unique.
Everiine is a man, and is very manly. This MAN before you is so manly you might as well just gender bend right now, cause he's the manliest man that you ever did see. His manly shape has spurned many women and girlyer men to boughs of fainting. He stands before you in a manly manerific typical man-like outfit which is covered in his manly motto: "I am a man!"

Pony power all the way, yo. The more Brontaurs the better.
In comparison to the other archetypes Warriors just kinda stand out to me simply by virtue of being a bit more flexible in terms of weaponry I guess.
The other guilds are less flexible in this sense and even when you have a choice it tends to have at most a minor impact (guardians are the only ones that experience functional differences from memory). I guess I found it interesting when I was looking at warrior skills recently (I was thinking about whether I would want to ever try flexing Serenguard) and seeing the various options that would be available.
As I said, I don't see the point in removing the current options when you could either just release org specific primaries into the pool or provide the unique skill as a tertiary or secondary.
If the skills are good, well themed, and mesh nicely with the organisation base skills then people would likely gravitate towards them, but those that don't like them can also keep their weapons.
I personally liked the idea someone said earlier, I think it was @Malarious -- that the final archetype be non-monk and fill in the last guild position in Hallifax and Gaudiguch.
I've always liked the idea that warriors are weapon specialists whose skills are not tied to an org. Even if Sentinels had halberds as their iconic arms, and largely preferred that to others, it doesn't make sense that all other warriors will be unable to use that weapon to the same general proficiency, or that Sentinels can't use other weapons to the same efficiency as they do halberds. Of course, we don't have a foot halberdier spec, I'm just using Portius' post as an example.
Differentiating warriors based on their orgs should come from the totem/ritual spec, it would be nice if the weapon specialisations had ways to incorporate the totem/ritual specs better. That could help make certain org's warriors tend toward certain weapon specs as well. For example, all the specialisations could have an ability somewhere near mythical that says, if the weapon is at or above level <number> deathmark, it can be slashed or swung or hacked or whatever while off EQ, at the cost of <number> levels of deathmark. So you could do a crucify + weapon attack as an ur'Guard, but not all the time, and none of the other warriors could do that. Pureblade being the favoured spec of orclach, who were the traditional ur'Guard etc, you could make the Pureblade version require a lower level of deathmark and take less deathmark to use, which pushes PBs toward being the favoured specialisation for ur'Guard without taking away the ability to use another weapon if an ur'Guard so wishes to, etc,
On the other hand, I didn't really like the fact that monks had weapons of their own that can't be learned/used by warriors - I always felt it would have made things more interesting for monks if all of them didn't use weapons at all. Imagine the monk guilds all using punches and kicks, but with different martial styles, ie. one guild can be revolving around pressure points, another guild revolves around using the opponent's momentum to flip opponents, twist and dislocate joints, another around pure strength, straight up punches and kicks that shatter bones even when blocked etc. Now that would be glorious.
Speaking of this take on monks, I call dibs on Lion's Roar!

It seems the last Archetype may indeed have been some sort of roguish stealth-like class. We seem the furrikin portrait and the illithoid both wielding a dagger with leather armor. We also know that Estarra stated that one archetype is an incomplete version of another, im assuming it may be stealth monks, and monks werent on the original plans of archetypes, but introduced later on.
It makes sense to me that the last archetype would be balanced based, giving us effectively 3 balance and 3 equi. That said, we have warriors and guardians who share skills(rituals). We have bards and monks who share skills (acrobatics). The last archetype would probably share skills with mages/Druids. What skill that is, I don't know. I kind of like the idea of a class that uses daggers and infuses them elementally. Might be tricky for communes though
You guys became really fixated on this 6th archetype, huh!
What about everything else Estarra mentions in the review? Which areas/pockets did you love? What storylines did you enjoy? Which magic tricks of @Ieptix's did you enjoy the most? What do you want to see more of?
I'm wondering whatever happened with the silver dynodeon, which popped up during a few events early last year then kinda didn't show up again. I was expecting Knowledge questions about it too.
The new development I've enjoyed most and would love to see more of is the denizen interaction lots of folks seem to be getting these days. It's been a kind of dream come true scenario for me with Master Q, but I've gotten the impression (at least from seeing more logs posted these days) that there's been a general increase in denizen RP across the board. It's awesome.
There have been so many little utility changes this year that are awesome. After many years of asking, books and furniture can now be sold in shops! Totemcarving is now available to a broader group. Getting amnesty to kephera and illithoid is now possible without a lot of questing to raise one or the other. Astralbeast as a target for astral hunting. Being able to see the aliases for all items in the game. So many colourssss. You guys are really listening to what people want, and it shows, and I think that is something I definitely want to keep seeing more of. In previous years it has often felt like we have been ignored.
The other thing I want to see more of is @Morgfyre. Good at everything but doting on His Chosen, hmph.
I like the history that's tied to things over than Elder/Vernal/Taint wars. Vernals are my favorite of those three, but Nature War and other Imperialish history trumps them hard for me. So Xeeth is like the best thing ever.
Also like that Nemach showed up, although I really would have liked to know what he was doing all these years.
Aethergoop was the best promo that I've witnessed.
Culture convenience changes are amazing, both for their own utility and as a sign that the admin does in fact care about culture competition. Library log in particular because it helps judge what sort of books are popular and which aren't, although it only gives that information within the city.

From memory the race pictures were all done at the same time and show, at least, Kephera monks.
For some reason I have the impression bards weren't part of the original design though.
@drocilla I guess my answer to what I want to see is the remainder of the monk guilds and this mystery archetype. And reviews of the older classes or maybe new skills for them. And of course a review of org defences.
As mentioned the changes to bookbinding and artisan are great too

Easily my favorite events were the vision quest Turnus and Ev went on in Februrary 2014, followed by the one Ev and Adasser went on in January 2015. Seeing the whole progression of Adasser from just a standard, unnamed summoned guard into a character of his own has been amazing.
I echo Daraius. I generally don't care about the big, Ascension-causing events, or the long, drawn out, scripted stories. It's the personal interactions, even the little tiny ones, that light up my memory. These sorts of mini-interactions and events, whether planned or not, were the absolute highlight of the year for me. I truly and honestly believe that these things are what make the game great, and what will keep it alive.
