Wanted to make a quick post on this - I've only been a semi-regular player and I've taken fairly big breaks between the times when I'm playing and the times when I'm not but when I have been playing I've had a blast. I've officially retired Chade on a permanent basis though and unfortunately I won't be back.  

Lusternia has been a big part of my life for the last 10-11 years. I started my career here back in the alpha testing phase before half the game was built and fell in love with it - my first interactions here were things like the Newton Quests, the Stewartsville quest and one unfortunate incident where I completely broke the Sea Wolves/Dragon Turtles quest with @Lisaera and got told off by @Estarra (I'm still sorry about that!).

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone I've interacted with over the course of my time here. I've made some great friends and had a lot of fun. I'll miss you all but I'm still around on Skype if anyone wants a chat. If you don't have my Skype details try asking some of the people in Gaudi nicely and I'm sure they'll pass them on.

I'm not leaving because of anything anyone has done, it just seems like the right time to do it. My PhD is almost finished, I'm getting married next year and I need to get on and finish a whole bunch of stuff before that all happens.

Right, said what I wanted to say - have fun guys and thanks for all the memories!

    I had to read this twice because I couldn't believe my eyes.

    You are really one cool dude, with a remarkable (scintillating) history in this game. I'm really sad to see you go, but I hope you have fun making rad discoveries. If you find Cibola or unleash some devastating ancient curse during your digs, please let me know so I can profit/prepare.

    I know I am still new to the game, and that I will meet a lot more people as I start to interact more with everyone...but I have to say, I am truly sad right now.

    You adopted me, helped me reach Demigod, taught me to meld and defenses and the basics of pyromancer combat...you told me how to train my skills so I could get the most out of everything as I grew. There are really no words to describe how great full I am to you. You are and always will be a very big influence in Kaer's life and always what he strives to live up to.

    I wish you luck in everything you have going on, I know you will be happy and have a successful life. You will be forever a legend and a role model

    Totally understandable, but still a bit sad also. Was great meeting you in London. Any chance we might see you at future meets still? 

    Also, do you have someone to take over work on your basher? Else I'd be happy to continue work on it in my own time. I know you had some features you wanted to implement, if you can get me a list of those that would help me get started.

    @Chade was one of the few people that were still around that I had become friends during the earliest days of this game.

    Tacita is right, you're way too nice and it makes me kind of nauseated. The feels are gross.

     

    But you shall be missed, I have really enjoyed playing with you over the past yearish. You're a Lusternian staple, sad to see you go!
