@AllGods: show us an Item in your inventory that isnt an in-character item, something you or another God made.
@Charune: welcome back! I understand your event had a half-formed that was supposedly calling out to the Nekotai/Ninjakari, though I may have misunderstood. If that's true, was there another way your return event could have gone?
Yes, @Charune, I'd love to hear some behind-the-scenes stuff on the latest event!
For the item question, I won't give specifics, but I will say there is a certain saddle in my inventory one of the older incarnations made has raised a lot of questions I really do not want answers to.
The Nekotai/Ninjakari thing is actually a coincidence, and a lot of mages would have seen those messages too; those messages were sent to all psionics users. The basics of the event were actually written in stone, from the half-formed being psionic to the very basics of its origin story to the destruction of the tree (because Charune + Lisaera is not an OTP), but everything else during the event from the event, including the visions, was actually improved on the spot and could have gone another way if I was sufficiently inspired or somebody made a suggestion.
My goal originally was to do a lot more of 'show, not tell' with the psionics and actually try to evoke emotion in players, and those who saw the small little fawn turning to stone when Xarriv was starting to turn cantankerous experienced that a bit. I actually do regret not doing this more, but I stopped for two reasons: one, they're quite emotionally draining to write and actually affected me mentally a bit; and two, I overheard a player during the event saying the emote actually made them cry (sorry!) and that's really not my goal.
As for Selenity's question, that was actually a case of inspiration. I like interjecting some levity into rough situations as it gives people a chance to refresh a bit and makes the situation feel more... real. I'm not sure I do it well, but I digress. One of the other members of Team Serenwilde actually popped in after I made the tree puff out some black psionic mist mixed with some silvery essence, and mentioned the text made them think of a certain illicit drug. That got me thinking, and I figured sitting there breathing the stuff in would have interesting effects. Long story short, I've already apologised to the Charites for any pickled carrot and gouda sandwiches that pass through their queue.
Honestly, it was fun. If I had to go back and do it again, I'd plan a lot more ahead of time and try to not write all the plane/area/room emotes for the final section of the release in 40 minutes. It ended up just feeling pretty abrupt because I was trying to time it for a certain part of the day and I just didn't prepare enough. I do have to thank Team Serenwilde and everybody up in the havens because they are a constant source of input, inspiration, and pulling me out of the frying pan when I don't know what to do. I'd also like to thank everybody on the player side who participated in the event, because let's be honest, you all made it what it is... And watching you all fumble over the prophesy for two hours might have left me in tears from laughter.
Everiine said: The reason population is low isn't because there are too many orgs. It's because so many facets of the game are outright broken and protected by those who benefit from it being that way. An overabundance of gimmicks (including game-breaking ones), artifacts that destroy any concept of balance, blatant pay-to-win features, and an obsession with convenience that makes few things actually worthwhile all contribute to the game's sad decline.
"Hey there, tall, dark, and dangerous. Care to trot off into the Void and slaughter something until We're covered in ichor and each other?"
Shikari smiled to himself. Charune always did know how to get His attention. "You know I do, but I need to find something for Vira to do to distract Her. She got lonely when We were gone for so long last time."
A thick finger traced one of the tattoos on His back, and a baritone voice in His ear deepened His smile. "Hurry up then, I'm lonely too."

"Oh yeah, you're a naughty mayor, aren't you? Misfile that Form MA631-D. Comptroller Shevat's got a nice gemstone disc for you, but yer gonna have to beg for it."

I'm not saying I'm 100% on where it came from, but I THINK there's a quote by Eventru floating in one of the quotes threads referencing something similar.
When I signed on to Lisaera for the first time, almost 5 years ago, everyone in the Havens (and a lot of mortals, too, when I think back on it) asked me "So, what will you do with Charune?" I remember thinking, adamantly, that I was going to forge ahead without needing to attach Lisaera to another Elder God. She is a powerful, self-confident Goddess who fought through the damn Void by Herself, rescued 4 other Elders, and made Her way back, mostly alone, to the First World. She used Her own power, Her own strength, and Her own force of will to get back here without a beacon to guide Her. She single-handedly stopped the spread of the elixir, She was the lead in awakening one of the strongest Great Spirits, and She is known colloquially as the Mother of the Ethereal Realm because of Her influence with the fae.
In short, She is fine without a man, can I get an Amen?
(The truth is, so much time has passed in an RL standpoint, with me building a Lisaera character without Her pining for a Charune character, that the arc is over. Killing the love tree was the finale.)
Like mortals, Elder God relationships are as ephemeral as, well, Ephemerals. Look IC for the reasons for this and I'm sure you'll find juicy gossip (or horrifying truths -- your pick).

Is that area of creation in Fain's realm an expansion that was never released or finished, or is that an area that is just sitting?
@Allgods what area would you most want to (re)create if you could?
I love the idea of perverting or purifying places. Like, I would love the reimagine the Blasted Lands as what they were before the taint, or what the Oleanvir Valley wold look like if it were Wyrden.
I've also been dying to create Lisaera's creche as a bubble.

I had one before it was cool, @Falaeron.

Kind of in-character since it's Elostian but I doubt it was ever used in-character... and I have the only one!
Fun fact, this was formerly Fain's.
