The Wyrd and the Storms

Seemingly out of the blue, dearest cousin Filib spoke up on the commune aether about Akuuko's... gift. Turns out, Mr. Rewoven has some ideas on how to protect the Glomdoring from the rain, and also very bad note-taking skills.

Thanks to Gael, Illyria, Gabe, Xenthos, Afollia, Evette, Netra and Glitterna for a while, and of course, @Nocht and any other godmin who helped out whether or not I saw them.

Storm?  What storm?

Thank you to the godmins involved in our "StormBeGone" rite, and to @Illyria / @Gael / @Evette / @Esei / @Afollia / @Gabe for making it work out.

Who grows a tree altar on the very top of a giant tower?  Us, apparently, that's who!

I am here once again.

1. How would your godrole deal with being ill with something like the flu?
2. What's the most hilarious thing you've accidentally seen/done to or with a mortal (and are willing to share)? (No need to name names of course!)
  1. Worst thing about being a healer is you can't really heal yourself all that well. Lantra would probably quietly suffer someone else being an INFERIOR Hamadhi substitute while trying to be on her best behavior (but silently critiquing everyone's bad techniques the whole time). Lan is also a workaholic, so this is probably the result of working herself to exhaustion and ignoring all the signs that she is destroying herself until it's too late. She probably absolutely loathes being sick more than just about anything else, because it robs her of control of a situation that she is normally very much the most control of: healing.
  2. Probably when I accidentally drowned @Avaris during his task of Devotion, ahahaha. "Can you bring water into the room, Lady?" Oh sure, let's turn on the "room is flooded" flag for realism! Oh no. Oh he doesn't have a waterbreathe enchantment. This was a mistake. (Second place "oops" is something I hope to be able to gleefully share at a later date, so stay tuned!)

Re: Lusternian AMA

  1. What flower do you associate with your character?
  2. If your character could give advice to their younger self, what would they say?
  3. What "impossible" dream does your character have?
  4. What is your character's favorite place in Lusternia?
  5. Describe who your character is in one sentence. No cheating with semicolons!

    1. Violets! I associated them with her even before discovering candied violets in Crumkane's divine realm, but it was a happy coincidence.
    2. Do not be afraid to reach out to people. There are kind people everywhere.
    3. Hmmmm. Maybe becoming an bearer of the Beauty seal? Or something? I don't know! Chundae isn't really one for "goals", hehehe.
    4. Aaaaaaah! Many favorites. The swamp with the willows in Crumkane's realm, the apiaries in Gaudiguch, the garden in Mount Zoaka.
    5. A ditzy but earnest furrikin who wants everyone to be happy!

Re: Absence Thread

I regret that I haven't been able to engage more personally and frequently on the current stage of the year arc, but I've been a bit preoccupied by RL events...

Sea Spirit and I are doing great. But what is this sleep thing? I'll be trickling into more activity as we get that sorted out.

The Wilde's ritual to calm Sea's Storm

After some discussions in the Wilde, it was decided to perform a ritual to draw on the water fae, shamanic powers, and the wilde to try to protect the forest from the storms. After some prep work, we gathered at Moon lake and here's what happened.

Some late night work and a bit of "aah coordination" as we were starting up, but it was pretty fun as it started playing out, and seeing people play with the idea of floating in the water was neat. The setting was also pretty cool because it opened up those options to play with in the ritual that we wouldn't normally have on solid ground heh.

1) Honeysuckles! Sweet, beautifully varicoloured and, most importantly at all, invasive AF.
2) You don't need to try and do everything yourself (even though you will anyways).
3) To be Crumkane's favourite anything
4) The blackjack tables at the Palace of Pleasure. Fun fact, alternatively his LEAST favourite place at the same time!
5) Someone who wants to be the life of the party, but lacks the social skills and tolerance of others to even show up half the time.

Events Post #469: Experiments and Revelations on Continuum

It was in early Vestian of the Year 594 that a lost Vhedrin Skytamer ended up before the Matrix looking for directions to the Continuum Biosystems Engineering Station. Negating the suspicions that he might be a covert pirate, he set to explain to the Skydrifter family - Qillilitli, Calioliahali, Fillirriqili and Azazilliy - that he travelled from far away. He had been invited to join a special research project by the esteemed Gith'axa Lars and Nix'ira Aalin for his extensive studies of exotic beasts.

Yilan Skydrifter first discovered the secretive Continuum Biosystems Engineering Station, where Gith'axa and Nix'ira were already well-installed, and offered to accompany Vhedrin to his destination. Soon enough, Ayisdra Ysav'rai, Lorina Trueflight and Zalan Shevat also found their way and gathered at the Station. Gith'axa extended a warm welcome, obviously pleased to see that Vhedrin accepted to join the research, explaining that he and Nix'ira Aalin were enrolled to study the pulsating core recently retrieved from the pirates and, of course, what ancient links it may have to Hallifax.

Nix'ira Aalin proceeded to explain that it was determined that this core not only possesses a life, but also that they might be able to duplicate it using the knowledge gathered thus far. Having since spent enough time studying the pulsating core, they have carefully mapped its blueprint while finely tuning the proper instruments to explore the minutiae of its inner workings. The researchers were very careful in their endeavour, taking every precaution to avoid disturbing the life within.

Continuum was chosen as the core seems to fare better while in its presence. The researchers performed an analysis with the assistance of the crowd present, to look further into what elicits this response to Continuum. This analysis showed that the pulsating cores hum in perfect tune with the resonance of Continuum. The intriguing hypothesis that perhaps they were native to Continuum was also posed.

Then, the researchers of the Collective proceeded to perform complex calculations and various tunings in the laboratory to edit the core's personality traits. Vast efforts were deployed to successfully birth a polytope prototype named AE01 and to optimally influence his development.

After some behavioural tests, the polytope prototype AE01 was classified as non-threatening and safe to the Collective, and the proper documentation would be forwarded to the City. With a provision that future polytope cores should have as much incubating time as possible to fully develop their laboratory-tuned traits, an agreement to provide asset polytopes was arranged. Tuned for favoured personality traits and native to the Continuum, many citizens were entrusted with a new assistant who will assist in serving the Collective, while sometimes eating paperwork.

Re: The Story So Far: Esei

"Where shall your Wisdom guide you?" - Esei prays to @Lantra asking about Her star lotus... Some things are revealed and pointed out.
"Because you are strong, My Esei." - @Nocht in turn responds to their prayer informing Him of the above conversation.

Re: Lack of Raves VI: Rave Today, Tweet Tomorrow

So Sapphira was indulging in a little self-pitying inner monologue, (super embarrassingly) this was noticed which lead to a first ever encounter with Nocht. And it was pretty damn great, he is super creepy cool. Sapphira may never get over feeling like she's waving pathetic about on a flag because of it, but me the evil puppet-master thoroughly enjoyed it! <3
