I would suggest a built in basher & look into gags for group combat....nobody wants to see a buff for 10+ people triggering over on loop (maybe i'm wrong).
You'll want to consider aliases for the following things: -List of built in aliases -Update History (if more then one release) -Quick "How to use" for newbies of Mudlet -- Pulls up a series of notifications that someone can read -- -Travel & non-combat things -Tradeskills & Shopkeeping -Configuration (map config, color config, etc.)
For GMCP I didn't see it mentioned but you should write it so that - look command - pulls up a list of all players in the room your standing in after description. ...and a way to disable that if it's not wanted by the person using the UI (Like turning off triggers in Nexus)
For highlights a few suggestions:
-Time -Environment -Org ambient themed colors -Hunting kill colors & etc. -Reminderss for skills & commands ( Totems: Skunk spirit for example)
Highlights are really my favorite parts about making a system, you really have a chance to make the world come alive in amazing ways.
So... Gurashi got inducted into the city of New Celest and not a minute later:
Albescent motes of light swirl about your palms, one of which lengthens with a flash, becoming a simple, wooden sword within your grip.
You blink.
ii sword
You are holding:
"katana387240" a wooden training katana
You stare at a wooden training katana, eyes wide.
Holding the katana at arm's length, you ask, "... is THAT part of becoming a citizen too?"
Tridemon blinks.
Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says to you, "I don't think so?"
A firm yet feminine voice rattles in your head, "Welcome, Gurashi. Seeing as you are quite enamoured by many of My cousins, I suppose this gift might be valuable to fend off unwanted machinations."
You have emoted: Gurashi waves a wooden training katana around curiously, eyes wide. Suddenly they stop, gasping. "Ohgosh."
You stare blankly into space.
With a gentle, euphonic lilt, you say, "...ah ..."
Tridemon tilts his head curiously.
A soft Celestian lilt to her words, Prioress Yinuish La'Saet says, "Well, it wasn't me!"
Alaula tilts her head curiously.
With a gentle, euphonic lilt, you say, "...ah...ahaha..."
An acute sense of amusement passes through your consciousness, and you feel lighter, like the unshedding of armour.
Defense management that detects your active class, and understand when you can't put up certain defenses (Moon, Night, Vitality if you are missing small amounts of health, that sort of thing)
