Re: Lack of Raves VI: Rave Today, Tweet Tomorrow

I was just about to come here and echo those sentiments! I am glad the order got to have a small little ceremony to come together. @Parhelion and @Romaan I hope you like your medals, I sat dreading on if I should submit them for a good week.

Now to plot on wrangling more recruits into the Dagger so everyone gets to have mini-events.

"Will. You. Give. Up?"

Hello again! It has been a long couple months with holidays, extreme illness (not C-19), work intensity and general potato brains. But things have still been happening quietly in the background for Gurashi; in @Mysrai's Order, in the politics of the city of New Celest, and in their increasingly desperate attempts at getting unenemied to their first home! It's been an emotional roller coaster, as most things are!

A Tall Order: A Task for the Shofets - A playdate on the beach with a gaggle of friends (Cheliyi, Ferne, and Esei) on the beach turns into one of the most important tasks Gurashi's ever been given!

<-- After a 2 week delay due to illness, finally went and idled in @Lantra's Fulcrux for 30 mins after Gurashi's initial 'i need to talk to you' prayer! (next time I will just drop thing, pray, and boogie)

A Response from the Empyreal - Only a few IC days after idling about the Fulcrux, Gurashi received a response... Not that it was one they weren't expecting. But that did not make it feel any differently!

What do I tell Them. - Failing is hard.

MEANWHILE
"May your desires..." - After many discreet requests for possible updates to their remedying their enemy status to the Glomdoring, Gurashi finally gets word from the Lady of Roses Herself, via Her lovely messenger, @Kreon. There is... hope?

"Do not fail Me." - A visit from Aschwar themselves to deliver a powerful message...

I promise to add more things as they happen! It is scary! It is exciting! The cost is too great to give up!
(and have a doodle post-Lantra meeting)

Re: Lack of Raves VI: Rave Today, Tweet Tomorrow

I haven't been around much, but thanks to @Romaan and @Parhelion for hosting the first Terentian Tourney. Special thanks @Emlyn, @Mikkel, and @Olyphar for participating. And also, good job @Lawrence for adding a little something extra that I hope we can continue doing.  o:)

Info Here window for Mudlet

Someone asked about getting the info here information displayed in a window in Mudlet, and the general consensus was that kaiUI handled that. Then @Llani shared a pastebin with their adjustments, and I didn't particularly want to install the whole UI myself either, but still wanted the shiny functionality.

So I filed the serial numbers off of it shoved it into its own table and adjustable container, and now it's a movable, resizable standalone widget. By default it creates itself in the bottom-left corner of the window. It displays the current players in the room, according to gmcp, and highlights them according to ndb if you have it installed. Works just fine without ndb if you don't have it installed.

Download the file HERE (you may need to save, or right-click and save as) and install it as a package.

Also, as you guys said you were looking at aethergoop generation - I think it would be neat if instead of the current version of refining, we had something similar to strange moods from dwarf fortress. When doing activities (hunting/influencing, whatever) you'd occasionally be hit with inspiration to make an item with certain random commodities, and you'd have to go around and gather them. Difficulty of comms could vary from just traditional things like eggs to having to quest for things like firegems or whitelemons. When you have all the things, you bop them into a ridiculous procedurally generated item (Who doesn't want cupcakes menacing with spikes of obsidian?) and can trade that off to a gnome.
I'd like that as well, but I like randomly generated things.

We also already have cup cakes that menace with spikes of sugar! You can't steal my cup cakes, Llani!

But yeah, things decaying always is painful when coming back to a game. I'm exceptionally grateful designs themselves don't decay.

Re: Keeping Divine Orders Alive

I think you'd hit an issue with the second because cults are something that requires the god to set up so if the avatars go inactive then that's kinda it.

You'd be potentially more able to keep things going if it was an order priv because, depending on how stuff is set up, players could welcome and promote new members without an active god.

Re: Lack of Raves VI: Rave Today, Tweet Tomorrow

So, someone pointed me towards EMOVERRIDE, which is explained in changelog 1945. OMG I wanted this for so long. Being a tiny faeling, I always  felt some of the stock emotes were awkard for aeldra and now I can customize them and still get the associated poses... am having a field day here. Whoever added this, all the praises <3

Re: Keeping Divine Orders Alive

This and purely RP gods would be great

Re: 1001 things to do in Lusternia before you rage quit

(You can't do this one anymore, but!)

213: Imbue a pair of frilly pink panties with esteem.

214: Offer said panties to a Divine, only to have them suddenly appear, throw panties at you (sans esteem) then zap you.

:D

Re: Upcoming Economy Rework and Goals

Also if sticky goop could go away so it's just one pool, that'd be great. It's hard to buy nice things for new people with most of my generation being sticky...even if it's good motivation to pick up cooking and pump out candies for people.
