Re: Upcoming Celestine Rework

Deathmarks is actually something that I've been considering envoy reports for next cycle. Though I don't really want to take away from the Celestine overhaul discussion.

As it stands though, its one of the only mechanics with diminishing returns. The diminishing returns can even proc 1v1. Deathmarks are in a good place for Ur'guard but also not really viable for Nihilists solo, leaving warriors as the far superior necromancers which seems off.

Assuming They don't have magical cleaning powers somehow, how would your god approach chores? Would They be particularly picky about how to do something (like folding laundry), get it all done at once, procrastinate, etc?

Ignore it right up until you hear Dynara pulling into the driveway. Then panic-complete as many as possible.

I would like to add a rave for @Nocht and His Order for being such lovely and enthusiastic folks about the little lore Nocht and I decided to use this arc for—we are so glad you had fun with it!

I have come back to reclaim my title as Quizmaster.
  1. Why do you all use "sharded" when the correct term is "splintered"?  ;)

It's like Q-tips. Do I know they're called cotton swabs? Yes. Will I be using the term cotton swabs over Q-tips at any point in my life? No!

Also I don't know if it's a setting I'm missing, but the titles never stretch out to where the rest of my wordwrap goes to, so I can never see them properly, it's maddening. 'Studies and Research On S-' On what. ON WHAT.

If you do "Library Info <number", like "Library Info 19500" for example, you can see the whole title of the book in question!

This also, because people don't apparently know this you can BROWSE PUBLISHER <city> 19000 to find most recent things if you want to see what's new. I would also search by the title (just use single keywords that are likely to be part of a title) or by author.

Never search by subjects, those are all assigned subjectively by the current librarian so you may have multiple subjects for the same topic which contain different sets of books, and then other books that don't even have a subject. Personally, I've never bothered to assign subjects after I realized how it worked.

You tell Rootweir Daisee, "Well done, it seems your studies are progressing rapidly."

You tell Rootweir Daisee, "Oh, but it is, you study the creature's movements, their weaknesses, and grow stronger for it!"
Rootweir Daisee says, "Noo.. I think I just aim for whatever part I'm not trying to let hit me."
You ask, "So in the case of a mountain lion you would attack the...?"
Rootweir Daisee says, "The lion part."
Rootweir Daisee says, "You can't hit mountains."

Old Man Mountain is nice! You can't hit him!
