I'm afraid though that self-policing only works if you have people that actually can check themselves. We can agree self-policing in a positive way works, but, as I said before in a post in the first page how this can slide fast into a downturn thus driving away people who feel like they can't help but just let things continue to slide in fear of IC ramifications and OOC clique-mongering.
The herd mentality is very easy to fall into when it comes to some OOC things. The people who are self-policing really have to take a hard look at themselves, otherwise they're just generating poor behaviors passed onto those who are still trying to find their game-playing style. So if we have those kinds of people who can moderate clans, and be able to listen to those who might disagree with them. Then yeah, it's a good thing for sure.

Again, still more personal and accusatory than it needs to be. Of course the admin are aware of it, I give them credit for having eyes and being able to read. As for the tabbing, that's still saying that people would rather not interact in the game at all. That's a problem, and I believe the ooc clans encourage more of it rather than simply filling a need.

Let the half siamese, half kitsune sit around in the aetherplex and rawr to herself and passersby. Emoting and random idiocy shouldn't be done on the org aether. Inane and silly things shouldn't be done on the org aether either .

I've had several long time characters in Serenwilde (Foehn and Mistral) that I eventually had to move elsewhere because I couldn't tolerate the issues that Everiine pointed out.
That aside, I can't stand OOC clans. I often have 'just turned them off' and found my enjoyment in the game go up considerably, only to have someone ping me (Soandso tells you, "// do you have xyz clan turned off?") and realize that there's a whole conversation relating to mostly IC matters occurring in an OOC clan that others are trying to talk to me in. It's incredibly annoying and considerably detracts from the overall game for me.

This is pretty off-topic, but my experience with the Snugglewilders vs Serenwilders is that the people on the more snuggly side are more likely to tell people they don't belong in Serenwilde. Surely you should encourage all sorts, not just those that fit your definition of what you expect to find.
History and lore of the forest is just the wallpaper that you RP in front of.
If someone wants to snuggle, snuggle away. You don't have to. If someone wants to mutter all cities are evil, mutter away. You don't have to.
Live and let live. It takes all sorts to make the world go round.
I am always amazed by the posts asking for rewards for good RP. Really? Like it is not a reward in itself? Good RP is my minimum expectation from other people. And so many of you live up to that expectation. Whether it is a tell, a simple emote, or a half page of text that makes me wish I was not on my phone. And the greater the difference between people, the more avenues for that.
